1 tube blocked?? will i have a bfp some day?

Hi everyone.....first let me fill you in on me. I'm 40 years old and 15 months ago I had a baby boy...well...we tried again with Clomid like with did for him. It didn't work this time...so off to see a RE....during the HSG it was found that my left tube is blocked...ugghh. Well he said my only good chance would be with IVF given my age. I was gung ho about IVF but then got a needle phobia...so here we are now trying again on our own for now. My question is does anyone know if it's best to remove the blocked tube so the chances of pregnancy increase??

If you concieved on your own just 2 years ago it seems realistic that you'd be able to get pg again.

Hi there!!
I also have a blocked tube.. We did end up doing IVF last year (and I'm 26) but that was because we had my blocked tube issue and my husband has male factor infertility (this was our main issue) .. with that said.. it still is possible to conceive on your own with only one tube.. You only need one tube to transport the egg... Just that your chances are significantly lower than someone that has both tubes that function normally..

I have one tube blocked and not working with no way of fixing it. But my other tube is completly free. Docotor says I can concieve possibly on my own. But next month I still am going to have an IUI. Food luck with everything!
