Thursday night I noticed L's right eye, just on the inside, looked a little red. Almost blood shot. My mom thought she remembered him running into the baby gate when it was open so we chalked it up to being irritated from that. It was only on the inside white part, not all over. Friday she took him to daycare for a little bit and they mentioned it to her when she picked him up and said someone had pinkeye last week. Great. But his eye wasn't oozing or anything. She called me at work, I called the ped and talked to a nurse. She said since it's not goopy it could be or it might not be pink eye. I said I'd rather take him in to have it checked out and get better over the weekend if it is instead of waiting until Monday and having to miss 2 days of work. Sure enough...he has pink eye. The Dr said it looked like the left eye was beginning to get it to, so it's best to just treat them both at the same time.

Once we got home I ran over to the neighbors and grabbed some food (it was his b-day and they were throwing a party) since L can't be around other kids for 24hrs. Came home and my mom said he was burning up. Take his temp and its 102.5! Gave him Tylenol and soon he was running around like usual and acted like everything was fine. Fast forward to 3am when he wakes up. Mom and I both got up with him (goodness, I don't know how I would have done without her here!!!). His temp is up again, 103.4. Give him more Tylenol and some milk. After an hour and a half mom told me to get some sleep and she stayed up with him. He didn't go back to bed until 10.....and he woke up around 10:30. Since then he's just been crying constantly and nothing seems to be helping him calm down. He wouldn't take the Tylenol so I had to put it in a syringe to get it in him.

My mom was supposed to fly home today but we've changed it until tomorrow. Hopefully L will be up to a 3hr car ride to get her to the airport tomorrow...no way could we have done it today. DH just called so off to fill him in...
