Re: May Holiday Chat!
Hey girlies! Hope all of you are doing well. I scanned the posts since I last posted. Been working like crazy up until today. I still have a just a bit to do in my room, but I'm so exhausted that I just can't get my "get up and go" going to finish it. DH got here yesterday and I've enjoyed having him home with us. He actually commented that the house was looking good and he could tell we have done a lot of work.
Going to try to pick up a little bit before I hit the hay, but wanted to pop in and say hello and see if there was any Rachel news. I see you're still around though Rachel, so I'll go for now.

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Wow Shannon - it sounds like you're getting a ton finished. I hope you're stopping to take small breaks and rest!!
We're heading off to a BBQ at my mom's house today. This will be the first time in years we've spent a holiday like this with family. Not that our military friends were almost like family, but it's so nice .

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Hi everyone. Its been quiet on here this weekend. Had my cousins wedding yesterday. It was really nice and the sun came thru which was good. Now just hanging out with family. DH and I are going to BBQ later today. Im tired today from being out late and maybe one too many glasses of wine last night. A is napping and I think Im going to take one too.

Re: May Holiday Chat!
well, did the walk for Cystic Fibrosis this morning, wasn't the nicest weather, but it warmed up, better then being too hot. was a nice trail, perfect length, took us about 1.5 hours (with the kids) to walk the trail, was deep in the woods. my hips are killing me!! GAH! I never had any hip pain with Ryley and with this little one its a daily thing ALREADY, I hate to know what its going to be like when I get near the end

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Congratulations!! February is a great time to have a baby
I have a phone interview tomorrow. I'm so excited - yet nervous. Thankfully my mom works for the same company in the HR department so she was able to give me some good interview advice and pretty much clue me in to what the starting salary would be. That's always the tough part of an interview. You don't want to ask for too much pay, but also don't want to undersell yourself.

Re: May Holiday Chat!
KUP on that BFP!!! I think February is a great time to have a baby too!!! Maybe a Valentines baby, those are neat!!
GL at your interview tomorrow Steph!!
GL at your new job tomorrow Danielle. Yes, Grey's is wonderful. You should look into getting the past season's (I think there are only 3 other seasons) so you can watch them. You could rent or buy, but since I LOVE Grey's I'd buy it!
Rachel, is that lovely baby finally in your arms yet??? PINK or BLUE??? You're killing me! Or it could just be the holiday weekend, but I hope it's because you are holding your newest bundle of love!
Shannon, glad DH is noticing all your hard work! You're into "days" now on your countdown ticker
Holly, WTG on the walk, I hope your hips are feeling better. I can remember bad days with Jarrett's pregnancy, some days I could hardly walk!
We did go fishing, it was pretty good. MIL paid for the fishing licenses, so I didn't have to worry about that. Kaden loved fishing, Jailee didn't love it, but she tolerated it. Unfortunately we were a mile from the bathroom, so I got my workout walking her there TWICE!! After the second time I told DH we had to leave before she had to go again because the silly girl wouldn't go in the woods. Not that the bathroom was any better than the woods (no plumbing)!

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Yikes, sounds like the camping trips we used to take with my dad. The bathroom was a little wooden glorified porta-potty. Hehe, when we were teens, some of the boys from a campsite over scared me and my best friend to death while we were inside. From then on at school, it was referred to as the "great shi@@er scare of '91" LOL.

Re: May Holiday Chat!
lol
there are so many outhouse scare stories in our family, at my moms house the outhouse is a ways up a hill, into the boonies, with nothing but forest around it, I try not to go up there at night, freaks me out! since its bear country up there. I usually pee in the bushes after dark
Had to take my dog to the vet today to get a skin scraping, he's losing his hair again, he did come out positive for Mange again, but a lot of dogs are carriers, well MOST dogs have it, but their immune system fights it off, so we'll wait 3 weeks and see if it gets worse, and we'll go from there.. PHEW!
nothing much going on here, Ryley is still battling her little cold, today seems to be the 'worst' day even though its not bad at all, shes still has energy, eating good, just at night she coughs a lot, and her nose is running, I have her some benilyn (sp) tonight again, this is the 3rd night in a row, I wasn't going too but she started coughing right before bedtime & sounded plugged up.
made a list today for the things i need for baby.. not THAT much, but still pricey, as I need a travel system, pack & play, bottles, diaper bag & crib bedding, and then the other little things, bathtub, toiletries, diapers, formula, etc.. i can't wait to actually start putting it together and getting ready for this munchkin!

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Hmm, maybe I'll look at the Etsy place, but it might be better if I don't!! I hope Ryley starts clearing up soon. Kaden's been sneezy, so I gave him some Children's Claritin. It certainly does the trick for him, but mine's not working so well right now. I gave some to Jailee just to make her "feel" better, she has to do everything Kaden does these days!
Yeah, that potty wasn't all that, just a hole with a toilet to sit on. Jailee, I think, just had to go in it because we called it a potty. When MIL was gone we lectured her on going to the potty because she was PT and then regressed. So asking her to potty in the woods must have felt like a trick question to her!! On Sunday, since I knew better, we took the Potty Chair up there for her to sit on outside the car. WAAAYY better. And she really liked it, talked about it the rest of the day about how her potty chair went bye-bye!!

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Too funny - her potty got to go fishing too.
Rachel? Yoohoo... I really hope I don't hear anything back until you're here telling about your birth. Keeping you in my thoughts today
Hey Kimi - how's pumping going? I totally need to work on my stash again since I'm starting to interview for a job. I'm kind of scared that it won't work as well now that I've gotten out of the habit of pumping. I'm going to buy a backup can of formula. It will be the first I've bought for him at all. How's Garrett? Are you supplementing at all?

Re: May Holiday Chat!
About to head out for my weekly dr.'s appt. Sure wish he would consider letting me do this a week earlier than it's scheduled. I was really having a lot of discomfort and pressure over the weekend. Not anything like Rachel has been experiencing, because my babies can't engage, due to my pelvis shape; but really painful just the same. Yesterday I had to breathe through some of it, because it was just too much. You could see P humping up near the top of my belly and I could feel her pushing down onto my pubic bone - Youch! Anyway, got to run. I'll post an update when I get back around 1 pm.

Re: May Holiday Chat!
Good appt - BP was great, baby's BPP was good too. Told him about the pain and the humping up and he said it wasn't a contraction if my whole belly wasn't hard. I told him I felt dumb having 3 kiddos and not really knowing what a "real" contraction would be like - but the only contractions I've ever had were 23 years ago when they induced me with my son and back then you got Demerol - so that brings on amnesia regarding the pain of the experience. I ended up with an emergency c-section back then, so I had knock out medicine as well. Next week, when I go in they will do a cervical check just to see what's going on (if anything) and I will have my GBS swab - since this time I will be going right up to my due date. Before I was always scheduled at least 2 weeks early and basically no chance with my history of going into labor or rupturing early so I haven't ever had one before. At this point I'm still scheduled for June 23rd and got my time today - 7:30 am! So bright and early for me again. The only bad thing was that I am up 2 pounds in one week - even with eating carefully. He said it was most likely due to the heat this past week and he wasn't concerned about it. I guess that means it was probably water - besides this morning was the first time my rings have been tight and I can't get them off my finger - so that's probably right. Oh and he did confirm that that bulging on my right side is definitely a knee.
Sure wish we would hear from Rachel. I just know now that she must have had that baby. This is just not like her - even when she was "dog sick" she would get on and post at least once a day. Now she's going to make us wonder like she's had to for the last 9 months.
