Im an absolute novice at picture editing and do it for fun really. Today someone asked me could i take a background out of a pic and make it a solid colour. I couldn't find any other way to do it other than clone out all the background with a solid black colour. It took ages though and still looks crap.
Im using Adobe ps CS3

Any help would be great guys.
