well as all of you know we were hit bad from the hurricane. here is a pic of our neighborhood CHALMETTE LOUISIANA it's pretty scary. the water is so high at my house you can't see the roof of my old car we left. which means basically everything is ruined. we are currently in nashville, TN with my inlaws, we are probably just going to stay in this area we have no plans on returning back to that area. but we are safe and we have our puppy with us so i'm happy that we are okay and he's with us!

wishing you nothing but good thoughts. If there is anything I can do just say and I will try my best. I can only imagine what your going through . My mom and dad lost their home in a fire in jan and it's really hard to go through things like this.
Know that people are thinking of you ...
bless your heart - I am sooo thankful that you guys had a place to go and are safe and out of harms way - and I am sooo sorry for your incredible loss.
I responded on the other thread, but wanted to here as well. I am actually in Nashville also, so if you need anything or even just a friend to talk to, please feel free to pm me.
Misty: I am glad you are ok. I am in Baton Rouge and have 2 families staying with me right now. I am sorry for your losses but at least you and your family are ok. I wish you the best.
HI, I just want to send my prayers your way. I am a military wife stationed in Germany. I have a real need to give back to my country what they give to me so often, my support. I have a new little blanket/fleece bunting for little girls, it is absolutely sweet and I would like to mail it to you. Also if dh is in need of any neck ties I have 4 in great condition, my dh doesn't wear ties anymore. If you could please pming I will happily ship to you next week or so.
I'm so sorry. Although I live in VA, my family is from St. Bernard Parish. They all made it out safely too but I know they are also hurting, thinking about the destruction of their homes and everything around them. I am so glad that you and your family were able to get out of the parish before Katrina hit.
thanks ladies, an update on our area is that we still dont' know when or IF we can return to check out damages, we don't plan on moving back though. HOWEVER we have heard that it'll be ATLEAST 3-4 months. I'm in no hurry and I probably won't personally go back at all cause to be honest my heart isn't aching for anything I lost in that house, however I do miss the privacy I had at home cause right now there are so many ppl here. hope everyone else is doing okay
