Hello ladies! I was so touched to see this board and to see all of your efforts and prayers for all of us that were impacted by this horrible storm. I am so proud and feel so lucky to be part of such a wonderful, closely knit group of women. It gives me so much security to know that in times of need there are hundreds of women from around the country and even around the world who are there for me. We are very lucky to have one another!

I post most often on DIO and on PAL and PAML. I was one of the lucky ones who wasn't severly impacted by the storm. I had just recently moved out of the city and moved to a suburb just outside of the city. My old house was located literally right down the street from where one of the levees broke, so I am VERY lucky that I moved when I did. My Dh is a New Orleans fireman so he has been through alot but we are doing GREAT considering what others are going through, as we haven't lost a thing. Many of my family members have lost everything so we are pretty much just opening up or home to any friends and family that need help right now. As I said before, please send all donations to the other ladies on She Knows who have lost so much.

Again, thank you all for your kind words and acts of kindness. It is appreciated so much, and again I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful Internet community!
