I have a question...I have been looking at site after site after site with regards to TTC after a myomectomy. Yours seems to be the longest wait....why was that?? Did you have complications?? My drs. visit was a blur but when he was giving me all the 'risks' he said something about not TTC for a year. Im not sure if he meant worse case senerio..or if this was his policy...or what. I have mostly found woman that have had to wait 3 months. I go back on the 21st and will ask him to be more specific about that BUT I really do not want to wait a year and am planning on a csection so figure that is a plus....I am just wondering why he would have said 1 year. Mine are in the wall of the uterus..five total..the biggest is 9CM.

I think the wait time to TTCing depends on the size of the fibroids and where they had to cut into the uterine wall. I had to wait a long time because my fibroids were huge! and they didn't think the uterus was ready to handle a growing baby until then. But friends of mine only waited a few months. Their fibroids were smaller.

I would ask your doctor at your next visit. He may not have an answer until after the surgery- when they really know how complicated it was.
