Icon7 Saw the specialist..

Hi, remember me from about a month ago? Well I finally got in to see a specialist at the Fibroid center in Boston & was encouraged by what I found out. Seems the type of fibroid I have is the least likely to cause problems to a pregnancy AND the least likely to cause problems to the uterus if its removed. The doc wants to see the slides from my MRI to be sure of the exact kind I have & then we can discuss more in depth surgery or no surgery. If it is as she suspects, she said I really could go either way. Also, it would be removed by laproscopy & recovery would only be about a week & I could start TTC-ing again after only one month! So that was great news! Ironically, though, I may be pregnant right now (wont know until about 7-10 more days) so I guess if I am its a moot point, but at least I feel better about things IF I am & if not, I think I will probably go ahead & get it removed, so I'll have a less stressful pregnancy (last one was REALLY stressful & the fibroid was so much smaller back then
..will keep you posted..

HI!

Sounds like you had a very encouraging appointment! That is wonderful news! One week recovery sounds good to me!

I hope you are pg but if not you can go forward with the removal and ttc with out stress. Toosoonyet had hers removed 6 months ago and just got her BFP. So it doesn't hurt to remove them- especially if the recovery is quick.

GOOD LUCK and keep me updated.

yup, I did have mine removed and it was the best thing for me. It did the trick. My baby is due 5-16-05.

I am glad things seem to be progressing well adn it seems like your doc is a winner!
