Hi ladies,

I usually post on the Femara board since I started those meds 2 months ago. My doctor did IUI this cycle and with that did an u/s on day 12. The tech is pretty sure that I have a very small polyp. I wanted to ask what the chances are of miscarriage if I am pregnant this month. I won't know until next week; today is 4 dpiui.

I did miscarry in 2003 and had several u/s since, but they've never said anything about a polyp. If I'm not pregnant this month, they will do a day 3 u/s and remove the polyp if necessary.

I was not happy about this at all...disappointed. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks ladies!!
Katie

Hi Katie,
First of all I am so sorry about your loss.

Welcome to the board. Usually polpys don't cause much trouble. Do you know where it is located? Sometimes the location can affect fertilty. I do reccommend getting it removed if you can. The "cleaner" the uterus the better for getting pregnant and staying pregnant. I think the way they remove them is by hysterscopy...an out patient surgery I had a few years ago. I can answer an questions about that.

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted.

Hi ladies,

I wanted to give an update on my situation since my last post. I do not have a polyp!! Thank God! I had a day 3 u/s this cycle, and there was nothing there. The tech says that it may have been an "illusion" last time. So, I'm continuing taking Femara and will have IUI this month. If I'm not pregnant this month, then the doc's going to injectables and IUI.

I wish you all the best luck in ttc!!

Thank you!
Katie
