Looks like I'll be having surgery...

(as long as doc still agrees after seeing the slides that is..) Just got AF. Guess its for the best. It would be really refreshing to have a stress-free pregnancy, unlike my last one. I am a little concerned that my LP was only 9 days this cycle (it has typically been 10 days, which is bad enough) but this time was even worse. Any idea if fibroids can cause LP defects & if so, if the surgery will correct this? I had a perfect 13-14 day LP for my son & I cant figure out why its dropped to only 10 days since I've had him, unless it has something to do with the fibroid...any ideas?

Good luck with the surgery. I am sorry about the short LP. After the surgery - if you still have a short LP try taking B6 during the 2ww. It lengthened my LP which was 10 days. I took it for several cycles and prior to the BFP cycle it did increase my LP.

Yeah, I was taking xtra B6 - and I LOSt a day - so much for that. I guess we'll see when surgery is over..will keep you updated..

It took a few months for it to work. Progesterone works better. It made my 10 day LP got to 20 day LP- was confusing cause each month I thought I was pg.

When is the surgery?

How much B6 did you take? I'm taking 50mg extra, plus my prenatal has about another 40mg. I was told not to go higher than 100mg b/c too much B6 causes nerve damage.

where do you get the progesterone? is it a doctor-prescribed thing?

No date set yet. i have to give the doc the mri slides (doing that tomorrow morning) & then, when she looks at them we'll discuss further..

I can't recall exactly..probably 50 mg. took one tablet a day on top of my pre-natal pills. It really seemed to work for me.

The progesterone I took was Crinone- RE prescribed. It made my LP too long at times. I used it for 4 cycles. I know there is over the counter Progesteone but I never took it so I don't know if it works or not.
