Your cycle abruptly stop? My cycle started, Saturday 5/12, light and bright red, the next day very heavy and fast like a faucet running, same thing on Monday, heavy filling up pads quickly. Then Tuesday morning woke up took a shower and nothing, not a drop like someone just turned off the facet. My cycles are normally 5 - 7 days and normally goes from red to brown to nothing. I've never had a 3 day cycle and never stopped so abruptly. I guess it may have something to do with the clomid or maybe the fibroids. Just curious if any of this sounds familiar.

That happens to me all the time. My AFs are usually 3-5 days with a break day in between. I think it is over- stop using tampons and then the next day is red blood again. I haven't thought much of it- not sure if it was my fibroids etc. My AFs on clomid were fairly short- light. Wish I could be more help. Have you asked your OB/RE?

Thanks Sheryl. I have an appt. later today so I'll ask about it, but I posed my same question on the Clomid board and the feedback was just as you said due to the clomid.

Hi everyone,

I'm back. my surgery went well on the 14th what were diagnosed as 5 fibroids turn into 34. What a surprise i got in the recovery room, when i was told it was shocking. the doc took pictures, what i saw the second day of recovery frightened the hell out of me. those little buggers were sizes of grapefruit, tangerine, tennis balls, golf balls etc. there were lined off on the table like fruits at the veg market.

i am doing well turn out i was anemic, surprisingly i was taking iron vitamins knowinly i were heading to surgery. the fibroids were just sucking the hell out of me. my uterus is still intack thank god. the doc told me there were a few she just couldn't get, not to get frightened, they were not any size to do any damage. I had 2 of the best docs to take care of me, i went in with faith and it pulled me through.

Not much in pain, just the rolling gases to expel other than that i am great.

I am so glad your surgery went well. That was a lot of fibroids. I found out I have to have a myomectomy (sp?) to remove mine. I'm anxious, but your story gives me hope. They gave me a shot last Thursday to stop my cycles and they're supposed to call today with a definite surgery date, right now it's tentatively 7/13. My husband doesn't want me to have surgery on this date b/c it's a Friday, but I'm not superstitious so it doesn't bother me, but the nurse was going to check out other dates, but only earlier not later. I have a fibroid that's embedded in my uterus that's about the size of a golf ball, but while the dr. is in there he said he'll get them all. I just want to get the surgery behind me so we can start trying again.

How are you feeling? Did you have an incision? They told me 4-6 weeks for recovery, that's a long time for me to be off work, but my boss seemed very understanding.

I am glad your surgery is scheduled. It will be at least 6 weeks before you may be feeling good enough to work. Your boss will need to let you stay home using the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Keep us posted!

Hi guys,

just an update, recovery is well i am moving around better than i expected. just a little dizzy sometimes since my blood is low, test revealed my blood count is 7. working on getting it up.

Mrs Willy yes i have an incision, but don't get scared, think about the baby you want so bad, u will do anything to get it, i did and it pulled me through for the best. i have my 2 week check up with the doc on the 30th, i will know what's up then. turned out the fibroids had my tubes twisted up like a twine, so once the docs were in they did a total clean, they even told me i had a lot of scar tissues.

good luck to you and keep me posted i am always here to give a helping hand.

keep the faith.

Congrats to you Sheryl, hope it's a girl.

Thank you Bartlette086! I'm glad you're feeling good and moving around better, take it slow so you can get your count up.

You're right getting the BFP makes me want to do whatever is needed.

When can you start trying again?

Mrs. Willy- I had fibriods removed twice. The first was a Myomectomy and they removed 5 LARGE buggers from me and then the next year I had a Hysteroscopy and they removed another. I got pregnant with Aidan 6 months after that. I 100% believe I would not have my wonderful children without the surgeries. The fibroids were in the way and made it impossible for implantation- minus trying to get the sperm up there. I always endorse the surgery. It tool 5 years to get Aidan.

Thanks Sheryl! I know the surgery will be well worth it. You have two beautiful boys and with your new bundle of joy on the way is the icing on the cake.

Bartlett086, I have 2 children from my previous marriage and my DH has 2 from his previous marriage and we have been ttc for 9 months one together. The surgery will definitely increase your chances so please keep us posted b/c I know we will be sharing your joy when you get your BFP! and I will be right behind you. I'm glad I found this site to help relieve my worries. Thanks Ladies!
