Default Who was at fault?

I'm not a huge NASCAR fan, but am by default as my husband doesn't miss a race. So, about 6yrs ago I decided that if I had to watch a race, it would be a bit more fun if I actually had a driver to cheer for or hope would win a race or two. I chose Dale Jarrett and stuck with him throughout the yrs, though, you'd NEVER catch me in a NASCAR cap or shirt. I'm a huge football and baseball fan. However, I do enjoy watching a crash or two as long as everyone is alright.

So, last night's race. Do you believe Newman accidently got into Jarrett or do you think he was being impatient and hit him to get him out of the way? I think the latter, but that kind of hit can't be proved unlike Jarrett's payback. Unfortunately, I think Jarrett is out of the running unless his team does a 180 and actually gets that car to in better shape.

Also, another question for all of you. Do you like the race for the chase? If your favorite driver doesn't make the top 10, do you even bother watching the last 10 races? I have a history of cheering on the under dogs, must be from growing up in New England (though, these last 4yrs have been such a nice change of heart ), so I don't like the fact that only 10 drivers can win the championship.

I don't have a favorite driver and have been watching since 2000. I do miss a race here and there cause I have a 4 year old that I try to do things with. I haven't gotten use to this chace for the championship thing. I honestly don't have much to say but I didn't like what happened last night to Kevin Harvick and innocent in the wrong place. To me that wreck look intentional to get back at Ryan Newman. No offense to you a DJ fan but that is what I got from watching that portion of the race.

I thin Newman did it on accident but I'm sure Jarrett got back at him for it.

As for the race for the chace. I think it's ok.

I'm not so sure it was a total accident with Newman as he wasn't that far up in the top 10 ranks. However, I do agree that Jarrett let his emotions get the better of his judgement. Because he couldn't control his temper, he most likely will not make it to the final top 10 which stinks. But, I think he's smart enough to realize this, he screwed up big time.

And, as much as I can't stand Harvick, I do feel sorry for him having been involved in that mess.

Mom2Thaddeus, you're not the Shawn Ann I know, are you? When I saw your new username, I thought just maybe, just maybe becuase I don't see your son's name around too often. And, now that I see your glitter name, YOU HAVE TO BE THE SHAWN ANN I KNOW!

Thaddeus is absolutely adorable! Congratulations! How is motherhood treating you? Give me all the details!!!!!

It's me, It's me I just had to change my username after I had my little guy

Motherhood is pretty darn great I couldn't imagine it being any different. So far everything is going great and hopefully it stays that way. He's keeping me pretty busy throughout the day and not sleeping much at night but it's still all great and wouldn't change it for the world. He's growing like crazy. He was born 8lbs and 20" long and is already over 10lbs and 22" long. He's the greatest thing to ever happen to me

How's everything going with you?

Yeah, newborns will do that to their mommies. They just dont' get the night and day thing right away. I'm so happy for you!!!!

I'm hanging in there. I just had surgery to remove my thyroid and man, I had NO idea how difficult the recovery would be because of the hormone aspect. I'm supposed to feel the full effects from the synthetic hormones in 10 more days and will have another work-up at the end of the month to make sure I'm where I'm supposed to be. I certainly don't feel like I am...I'm exhausted all the time...and it's not from a precious newborn in the house.

But, hey, 6 days until football season officially begins, so things better look up at that time! Unless my team lets me down the way Jarrett did! teehee
