does upping Menopur from 75 iu to 150 iu and starting on cd 3 instead of cd 5 increase your chances for multiples? I lost my baby at 7 wks 2 days on the 22 of Jan, and we will be ttc after 2 cycles. My RE wants to change my dosage/start date. I'm just wondering what experiences you've had with 150 iu of Menopur. And what cd you started on.

Angie - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss .

I haven't used Menopur but have used Follistim. I also have always started mine on CD 3 so I can't really speak to the difference between a CD 3 and 5. I do know from experience though that by increasing the dose, you will most likely have more mature follicles, hence higher risk of multiples. Good luck to you!

I am also sorry for your loss, it was so recent that I am sure you are still trying to get through it.

I did repronex which is the same thing as menopur and I would say that starting earlier helps you start maturing follicles faster and it could result in more follicles, but it may also just mean that you trigger earlier. I triggered earlier with it than with clomid, quite a bit earlier in fact, like cd 11 or 13 vs. 15 or 16.
