Hi -- I normally post on the IVF board, but I have an injectibles question for you ladies.

I have had a couple of very disappointing ivf cycles because the eggs retrieved are not mature (despite the fact that the follies are all greater than 19 mm). In the past, I have used follistim, or a combination of follistim and menopur.

If this cycle is a bust, my RE will put me on menopur only (LH/FSH). He thinks that I don't respond well to pure FSH becuase I don't produce any LH on my own (my day 3 LH =0 and FSH = 0).

Is there anyone else who uses only repronex or menopur? if so, why? and what has your experience!

Hi-
I used only repronex for 6 cycles, all resulting in bfn. I responded rather good at 1st, with 4 follies, but as the cycles went on I responsed less & less & had to keep increasing the dose. My RE recently switched me b/c they weren't sure I was getting a "true" dose b/c of all the mixing of vials. HTH Maybe you'll get a this cycle & won't need to make any changes!!
