Hello Ladies! I usually lurk over here, but before too long it looks like I might be joining you! This cycle we are doing clomid/iui. This is my first iui but my RE said that if it isn't successful then on to injectibles. (I have taken clomid off and on for the past 3 years) I was wondering....how much is it for all of the familiar names per vial?? Our insurance doesn't cover infertility, so I am a little worried about the costs...I would rather save up and do IVF.

repronex? brav? pergonal? what do you ladies prefer? my re is pretty much giving me a choice so any insight is appreciated! Gl to all this time around!

Hi Cassandra! I hope that your IUI works this month and you don't have to know the joys of injectibles! I had to look up what I paid because it's been a while. I paid $179 per vial of 300IU of Follistim, which you use in the pen and is really easy to use. I think my RE had me do 75IU injections every other day for three days (trying to remember but I was also on Femara at the same time). So there is leftover in the vial, plus they overfill it a bit. I also used Ovidrel for my trigger shot, which was $65. I can't speak for any of the the other meds, but the Follistim pen was easy to use (I used one other kind that I had to mix one time because I ran out of the Follistim and that was more complicated). I stuck with Follistim when we moved on to IVF after our 3 medicated IUIs failed. I got many follies from this med, but I also have PCOS so it could just be because of that issue and not the drug itself so much. Oh yeah, as for prices, I know you can order the drugs from a few online places that may be cheaper than what I was paying. I bought from a shop across from my RE's office and it was nice to have it in hand that way but it may not have been the cheapest. Anyway, that's all I can think of right now. Best wishes! Hope you get your BFP!!!

My insurance doesn't cover it so we are doing Bravelle since schrafts.com that I order from is offering 20 vials for the cost of 15. I think it ends up being about $54/vial.

I order 4-5 boxes (I can't remember now), trigger/booster shot (hCG), syringes, needles, etc. came to $820. That was for a month's supply.

Good luck! I hope this cycle works for you and this is all information you will not need.

I used 225 Gonal F 10x, Cetrotide 2s, Repronex 2x, Ovidril 1x, and Progestorone lozenges 1pack. This cost me $1700.

You can see prices at Freedom Drug.com
