Man-o-day do I have the utmost respect for those of you who've had a full blown case of OHSS. I ended up going to the hospital last night around 9 & not getting out of there until 12:30 today with what they have decided is a mix of the stomach flu & a mild case of OHSS. My RE said to take it easy for a couple days & drink some gatorade. So I guess that's what I'll be doing!!

And boy, are those ER people dumb about what we go through for treatment. I had to explain to 3 different docs that I was NOT confirmed pregnant, regardless of what the test showed, b/c I had done the trigger shot the night before. They just really didn't understand why I was not excited that they kept telling me my HCG was positive. Idiots.

So for those of you who've had ohss, does it get worse before it gets better? I keep thinking "oh, I feel better" & then I move & OUCH!

Leah, Sorry you have OHSS but I hope it's because you are preggo!!!! I got mine about 3 days after my IUI and I was very uncomfortable for about 4-5 days, I felt better for 2 and then I got really sick!! DRINK YOUR GATORADE!!! I was not told to do this until I geot really bad so do it!!! I was on Clomid when I was rearended back in April and to be honest Clomid made me a hypersensitive psycho b!tch and DH had to take me to the ER to get stitches. I told them I didn't want any meds because I might be pregnant and I was totally insistent well before we left the ER Doc goes to DH I hope this cycle goes fast for your sake. Dear LOrd did I want to punch that man!!

Leah, So sorry you're sick. Yes, drink a ton of Gatorade and eat protein and salty foods. It helps. I was eating sunflower seeds and soups are really good for the salt and protein. I managed to be okay (sore but not as bad as my IUI cycle) with my IVF cycle even though they got 36 eggs, and I think it is because of all of the Gatorade and proteins. Although I did not do much for several days. I have heard that OHSS gets worse if you are pg; so I hope this is a good sign for you! Take good care of yourself and please post as soon as you know for real if you're pg. Dumb doctors. Can't believe they even wasted the test.

Thanks ladies! I'm feeling better sort of on & off. The gatorade is helping, the dealing with teenagers all day today is not I'm suppose to go back tomorrow if I'm worse, but I think I"m the same, so I'm not going, plus I can't miss anymore time this week or my prinicpal will kill me! I really hope I"m going through this for a very good reason

Stacy- I think the earliest I could poas would be Wed. So maybe I will on Thursday am, if I"m having a good week. My RE said to wait until the 4th but I usually can't wait until they say. I'll keep you posted
