Howdy Ladies...
Here is our new thread....and here are the last few posts from the other thread!
Here is the link to the other thread so you can see Laura's growing duo pictures!
hullabaloo 2
FROM KC---
Jen- Don't people realize how stupid they sound when they say these things? 2 Some people are just so clueless.
I just got off the phone with Kris. Are ya ready for this one.....
SHE BROKE HER FOOT!!!Apparently she stepped on a stepping stone out her back door wrong and torqued her foot to break a bone on the outside. Luckily, it is not that bad. The docs even debated if it was really broke or not. She has to wear a walking cast for 6 weeks!! :gaah
Here's my new sign!
And From Heather..
Okay, I was looking at cnn.com earlier and it had a link to a story in "The Onion" so I clicked on it and it had a story about Leah Remini from "King of Queens." It said that the show writers have incorporated her abortion into the story line of the show for their final season. They said they were able to keep it up tempo to go along with the humor of the show.
I am really amazed this isn't getting more press. I am kind of dumbfounded. I know we don't live in the dark ages, but I would think there would some protests to this or that the Right To Life people would pounce on this. I had not heard anything about it. Leah has a 2 year old and it talked about how many actresses get abortions at her age or something. Wow, I must live in the dark....but I think I like not knowing thiese things.
From Laura (see link above for pics!)
What?!?!!? Leah is going public with a freakin' abortion? That's just wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. Why on Earth would anyone advertise that they threw away a perfectly good child? That's just awful. It's not birth control, folks.
Jenn- People are stupid. Including me sometimes. I'm sorry your coworker is a dumbass. It's hard to figure out who to talk to about your own situation. Sure, I think it's advantageous to talk about your struggle to have a child (people need to be aware the this happens to people they know- it's not just random folks to struggle to have a family). However, it's not something you'd talk about around the water cooler. You know? Anyhow...stupid woman!
Jen II- I'm so excited about the IVF. I just *know* this is going to be great for you.
Kat- Glad to hear from ya! How's school going? All the kids have the Spring Crazies and have been mentally on SB since February. They are getting more and more "gone" as time goes on.
KC- Glad you found your id! Sorry about the pelvic rest. I think that's pretty standard protocol in PP. I'm still hoping it moves 'cause I know you'll want to do natural again.
Heather II- That's just crazy about your friend with the 5 kids. Sure, I know she hurt when she thought she might be done at 3 kids. It's real pain. BUT....having 3 children is more than many folks have anyway. Seesh!
I kinda think my IUD make be causing me to develop cysts. My left ovary hurts and feels so tight. It's a feeling I associate with ovulation but I'm not having periods. So I think I must be developing cysts. I'm considering going to the doc about it. But I might feel stupid if they say....duh, Laura, there's nothing going on. I always hate to feel like a bother. You know?
From Karen...
Too cute, Laura! I love the pics. Thanks for sharing... I can't believe how big your kids are...that's CRAZY!
Sorry I have been MIA. Amelia had roseolla and the fever made her cranky and now the weather is great, so we have been outside all day. Todd's got a lot a work, so he hasn't been here in the evenings so I am TIRED...
Leah Remini?! I had no idea! That is shocking to me.
KC, had my glucose test and passed last visit. I was so happy about that because I didn't want to have to do the 3 hour test. Things with Dh were great until last week and now my belly is so big, its too hard to do the deed, so I think we will be on pelvic rest, too!
This weekend we are going to try and see the Bodyworlds exhibit in Dallas. Should be interesting.
Sorry to hear about Kris...that girl never gets a break (get the pun?! Bad, I know).
More to post, but no time. Thinking of you and trying to stay up with what's going on!
From me again...
Laura-WAY CUTE OVERALLS! And your little NAthan looks like skinny minny. Natalie is growing up so fast too. What cute kids, I know you are a proud mama!
Karen-Glad A is feeling better...and its a great day to be outside! Its beauitiful! I hope the weather holds until after Spring Break so I can open the windows and be outside.
Laura2-Happy B-day NAthan...wow, I can remember his birthday like it was yesterday with all the phone calls and updates. Time flies!
Hello to all!
Boy, everyone seems to be sick. I have students calling in sick left and right. I think some of them actually are sick and some are probably just Spring Break sick, like Laura's students.
I got a burst of energy last night and did some re-decorating and cleaning and got my kitchen, living room, and dining room win ship shape. I just need to vacuum. Hobby Lobby was having a big sale and lots of stuff was 50% off, so I went a little crazy! But, I LOVE the way it all looks. I liked the way it looked before, but I didn't love it...it was just okay. I love it now!
Happy Hump day!
H
And now I turn it over to you to add some more!

Nathan had a wonderful birthday yesterday. He ate cake, watched Blues Clues all day. We went to Chuck E cheese and he play, play, played. It really was great.
HOpe all is well with everyone. Class is going on so no real chatting for me!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Happy Late Birthday, Nathan!!!
Laura- Those coveralls are adorable! Did you take yesterday off to spend with your little guy? Can't blame you a bit if you did. Natalie is getting so big! She is beautiful!
Laura II- Did you call the doc about your IUD? I think you should IMHO. It's not worth the risk if something is wrong. The fact that you feel funny is enough cause to bug the doc.
Heather- Yeap, definitely no business being done here!!! I can't believe Leah is going public AND they are writing it into the show! Won't it be great when everyone thinks it's OK to use abortion as birth control because they are doing it in Hollywood!
Karen- I'm so glad you passed the test! I know I have been eating way too much sugar, so I'm pretty nervous about mine. It's not scheduled yet, so there is still time! Do you think A&A understand there is going to be a baby? I think Kian gets it as much as an 18mo can. He has suddenly become very gentle with my belly patting it and stuff. Too cute! What's Bodyworlds?
Not much else going on here. We get great weather one day (had windows open yesterday), then it's cold again (30 this morning!). My parents decided not to come this weekend on their way to FL but instead stop on their way back over Easter weekend. It's a good thing because I'm not ready! Besides, it will be nice to have family in for the holiday! In the meantime, Todd's parents will be here for a week starting next weekend. They are going to take care of Kian during a week when the sitter needs off. What a lifesaver that is!!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Hey guys - I've been sick as a dog with the flu for the past 3 days so I haven't really had the energy to post. I got a flu shot but apparently it didn't work, dang it! I did go in to work yesterday afternoon which was probably a mistake because I feel worse today and woke up with a fever. Anyway, we did go to our IVF orientation class last night! That was exciting and now I'm getting excited about getting started! I feel like we're going to be in very capable hands. They have an interesting program where if you're lucky enough to have 2 excellent quality blasts (which they said was pretty rare for them), then they will give you an incentive to only transfer one. They will freeze the remaining embies and transfer the second one for free if the first one fails. They are working on ways to minimize the risk of multiples. Anyway, some food for thought. I'm certainly not holding my breath that we would even be candidates for that.
Nathan - Happy Belated B-Day!
Laura - The overalls were adorable!
Kris - Girl! I'm so sorry that all these bad things keep happening to you! You deserve some good news real quick. bighug.gif
Heather - I always thought the Onion was all "made up" news. I wonder if that's really true? I used to read that site a lot in college. I'm not sure why they would make up something like that though, hmm. Not a cool thing at all.
Having a coughing attack - gotta go...

Re: hullabaloo 3
Dona-I hope you can get settled in and everyone (including you) is and remains healthy!
Kris-I totally missed the post about your foot! I am sorry for all the trouble your body is giving you! Now its time to move on to no more problems, right! Good luck on the healing!!!
KC-It will be nice to have your folks there for Easter. I love Easter!
Us-We have friends coming in this weekend for a wedding and they are staying with us...I was going to do all my cleaning next week but it looks like I will have to do it before then. My house is fairly clean, I just need to dust, vacuum, and straighten!
Its gorgeous outside!
Happy Friday!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Jen- That is very exciting! That's a cool incentive program. I don't know what I would do given the option. I'll have to think on that one.
Dona- Don't run into the post and knock yourself out! It is very hard when both of you are working. I'm sure you will both get back in the groove soon!
Heather- You mean dust is something a person should actually do? I guess I should figure that out since my inlaws will be here next weekend and my parents shortly after that! I would be happy if all the bathrooms were clean at once!
Not much going on here. It is a gorgeous day outside, but I'm stuck in here. No big plans for the weekend other than that whole dusting thing. Hope all of you are doing great!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Jennifer-I must have missed your post last week, that is an interesting way to do it. I have never heard of that program but I can certainly see why some would do it, especially if they are having a high twin rate. Good luck!!!!!!!
KC-Dusting is something that should be done, I just haven't trained my cat to do it yet. I mean, it wouldn't be that hard, he just needs to drag his tail in all the right places!
I actually called my friends on Friday to see when they were coming in, I thought they would come in on Saturday. They told me they would call when they knew their plans so when I had not heard from them, I called them about 4pm on Friday to see when to expect them and they said they were leaving in 30 minutes. Luckily, I had already pretty much cleaned the house, just needed to dust and vaccuum, but at least everything was straightened and stuff. So, I left work right then to go finish up since I thought I would do that Saturday morning...probably wouldn't be nice to just start vacuuming while they are sleeping! I think I have spelled vacuum different every time I typed it in this post. Oops!
Anyway, they came in Friday and are still here. They were going to try to leave this morning but they were still asleep when I left. They are on Spring break so they aren't in any big hurry. I wouldn't even be too surprised if they were still there when I got home. They are our best "couple" friends. We were all single together and then we all married each other, so we were all flriends from the beginning and then we became couples. They have an 8 year old daughter who is so cute. The wife has lupus disease and is always battling her health. She only has 30 % kidney function right not but we hope it stays that way so she doesn't have to have a transplant. At 20%, she will be put on the list.
Its rainy here today, looks like DFW is too. So much for doing any gardening! It sounds like rain will be here until Thursday or so. We are supposed to go up to Waco at some point this week and go shopping at The Children's Place for Easter Outfits for all the grandkids...should be fun. We might go to the zoo while we are there, weather permitting.
I may have found another nanny for L. I talked to a lady who does home care, she is liscensed with the state and has been doing it for years. She just found out she has an opening for a toddler in May and I happen to call at the right time. I am going to go by and try to check it out in the next day or two. I hope she is fabulous!
I hope you are all doing FABO as well!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Heather- I hope it works out!! That would be fantabulous! Cat dusting sounds great! I'll have to work on that one!
I hope none of you are drowning down there. They were talking here this morning about tornado warnings in Houston. That doesn't sound fun at all!!
We had a great weekend, but I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I got my hair cut Sat (cute but too short), we went for a picnic and played in the park. Kian fell asleep on the way home and wouldn't lay back down in his bed, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. The weather is still gorgeous here. It's supposed to be nearly 80 later in the week!
Happy Monday, all!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Hello! I have exciting news!!! My cysts are officially gone and we can start suppression!! I never thought I'd be so excited to start yet another round of BCP, lol. I have my official schedule which is in my siggie. Everything will be happening soon enough!
I'm finally doing better. I was still running a fever on Saturday, so that is 5 straight days of fever, ugh! I'm still weak and tired but much, much better. I'm ready to be 100% though.
Heather - That's great news about the potential nanny!! I sure hope it works out - what a relief! That's awful about your friend - I hope that she remains stable!
KC - At least your hair will grow, right? I hate it when I'm not happy with my haircuts.
Hi to everyone else! Hope everyone is doing well!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Jennifer-That is GREAT NEWS!!!!!!! HOORAH for no cysts!!!!
KC-Some rain but not too much....and I bet your hair looks way cute! Take a pic and post it!
I think we are heading to Waco tomorrow for a day or tow. I talked to one lady about keeping Landry, she was okay but I am not 100% convinced she is the right one...I found another lady and will interview her tomorrow, I hope she is THE ONE!
Gotta run, can hear thunder!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Jen- That is awesome!!! That puts your ER just a month away! I'm glad you are finally feeling better. It stinks to be sick for so long.
Heather- Have a good time in Waco! I hope the second lady is the right one without a doubt! Do they both keep kids in home?
That's a good thing about short hair. It will be longer soon! Actually, now that I'm over the shock and disappointment, it is kind of cute. I'll have to work on that picture. I need to take a belly pic anyway!
Poor Kian is cutting 6 teeth! Including four molars!

Re: hullabaloo 3
 Where is everyone?
Well, next week should be interesting. The in-laws should be in here either tonight or tomorrow. They are staying all of next week since the sitter needs off which I really appreciate. Come to find out though, Todd won't be here most of next week because it is the only time his boss can go to SC to do some work down there. This will be me.... Well, in my head anyway.
Hope all of you are doing great and have a wonderful weekend!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Hello!
KC - You seem to have a lot of visitors all the time! Good luck next week. It is so nice that your ILs can come to help out.
Jen - Check out IVFConnections.net. It will feed the insanity. They have it divided up by diagnosis. Heather told me about it awhile ago, but I didn't look at it until recently. They have a poor resonders section that I've been looking at. There are other people there that have normal FSH and don't respond well. Nice to know I'm not alone.
Hey to all else!
J & I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last night! Yeah for us!

Re: hullabaloo 3
I haven't gotten caught up, but I do knpw I missed Nathan's birthday! I am so sorry...I know he had fun...I would have fun doing all that!
I have been sick over here...yucky URI/bronchitis stuff. Not much I can take to really help things either. Todd's been busy in the evenings with work, so I have been a single mom most of the week, too. Today I slept most of the day and am feeling a bit better (but sound terrible), so I hope I am getting better now that I have Todd to help out. Didn't want you guys to think I wasn't thinking of you!

Re: hullabaloo 3
Hey sorry to drop in
Happy BDAY Nathan
Someone that Kris and I both know (well Kris is close to her husband) needs every prayer we can get. SHe had a c section last week and she developed the most deadly form of Necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria) at home (but probably contracted at St. Joes). She was admitted into critical care and put on a vent this week and she was touch and go Wed and Thursday, but they took her off of vent tonight. She is having heart, respitory and renal failure problems, the bacteria has eaten all the flesh from her front torso and she faces a long long road to recovery and many surgeries to come if she makes it. PLease keep Tiffany in your prayers!!!! She has a son a few months older than mine (she is the one who mc right before I did and then got pg weeks later and now she has a infant daughter and her husband is in the reserves, but active duty right now. (He is home right now though)
Please pray for her.

Oh, Molly, that's just so unfair. I know you are super-duper busy, but please keep us posted about this mommy. My heart goes out to them...
Thanks for the well-wishs on my baby boy's birthday. He's really starting to look like a boy now. It's so sad. He still needs me (thank goodness!) but I get sad thinking that someday he won't need me. And then what will I do?

Re: hullabaloo 3
Molly and Kris- That is absolutely horrible! That poor family! Didn't she have problems last time, too? Of course, it was nothing like this! We're praying for her recovery!
Kat-Congrats on 4 years! I'm glad you found a group you can compare notes with!
Heather- When is your scrapbooking retreat? glad you had a good trip!
Karen- I hope everyone is on the mend over there!
Howdy everyone else!
Me- I tell ya, if it isn't one thing, it's another. I got bit by a tick last week. (EWWW!) At Todd's insisting, I called the ob. No big deal right? But watch for these symptoms. Well of course, I have some of those today (diarrhea, headache, achy neck, itchy where the bite is) which could be coincidence or really something. So I am off to go get tested. I'll keep ya posted.
