Dona - Kaelin is such a little lady! Thanks for the pic!

Quick update on my appt. I have 3 MONSTER cysts, like 55 mm each! They couldn't believe that I can't feel them. Anyway, so that means I have to do a round of BCP no matter what. I go for my consult with the Dr Thursday morning to see what the plan is.

I hate that you can't edit postsAughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

First, Kaelin is cracking me up in that picture!

So, do they put the kids completely under...how do they react to the anesthesia?

Did it really help?

Did they sleep better?

Are they groggy for long after?

What is the protocol after they get them?

So, do they put the kids completely under...how do they react to the anesthesia? I believe so. But not by IV, just gas

Did it really help?Yes. It helped with their runny noses, congestion, moods.

Did they sleep better?Didn't notice any difference.

Are they groggy for long after? Not too bad. They slept all the way home (about an hour) and by that afternoon we playing normally.

What is the protocol after they get them?Back in 2 weeks for a check up and that's it. You don't have to change a thing. Back in the day, you couldn't submerse your head, but now it's not a problem. Mine went swimming all the time. They'll probably give you eardrops if they drain.

Dona-Wow, Kaelin is such a doll....she has changed so much since last time I saw her! She looks tall and slender...no surprise on the slender...but are your kids tall-ies?

Your cuz is sending me to a pediatric ENT guy and he said that the guy is going to push tubes for J. ANd he asked me how I felt about all of that etc...I guess I am okay. I just needed to hear from y'all. I didn't know what the anesthesia etc. involved.

Molly, it's really no biggie. If he suggests it, I'd go for it. It made a world of difference for us (for a while). And the odds of him needing a 2nd set are slim (5% for kids under 1). Since he's over 1 he may not ever need another set. They are only under anest. for 10 minutes tops. And the recovery is practically non-existant.

H, I don't know if they are tall or not!! They are skinny. But I don't have many kids around their age to compare height to. I think they are probably around 34"??? Is that tall for 21 months?

Jennifer- Holy crap! Those are huge cysts! 55 mm = 5.5 cm = a little more than 2 inches across. EACH. I would think you'd feel really full down there. Wow.
