Oh, Jenn! I can't believe you're going through this. I feel like I'm reliving it all over again! I was in the same place you are with one more bleed meaning a trip straight to OR. I hope you aren't going totally insane being stuck there. It sounds like you are in a great hospital, and you are very fortunate to have already gotten the steroid shots. I'm praying that little girl stays in there for awhile longer, but know that everything will be OK if it doesn't go that way. I know you are hoping for 2 more weeks, but how long will they let you go if everything is still fine? Will they stick with your orginal C date or move it up?

I hope everyone else had a great and uneventful Thanksgiving. We had a good trip. It was wonderful to get to see my sister! I'm sorry I couldn't find time to see all of you while we were down there.

I have news!! Our baby girl, Lauren Michele was born on Saturday! We made it for 2 weeks in the hospital on bedrest until Saturday morning when I started going into labor. I couldn't feel a thing but the contraction monitor was showing LOTS of activity. They tried to get it under control, but nothing worked and my OB made the decision to deliver before I started bleeding which was definitely the right decision, I think. The c-section went very smoothly and she came out crying! She was 4 pounds, 8 ounces and 17 1/2 inches long. She is in the NICU of course and currently on CPAP to help her breath but she didn't need a ventilator, thank goodness. They are thinking that she may get off the CPAP today which would be fanstastic! She would then just need a tiny bit of oxygen through a nasal canula. She is going to be fed through a feeding tube until she gets strong enough to nipple feed. I'm pumping regularly and getting some colostrum so that's progress! Hopefully we'll be able to try nursing before too long. We're hoping that she will be home in time for Christmas but we are not getting our hopes up too high for that. What a wonderful Christmas present it would be though! I'm feeling pretty good, just trying to get my strength back from being on bedrest and the section.

Miscarriage/D&C - 8/05

IVF #1 - BFP!! Our precious baby girl arrived 6 1/2 weeks early and came home after 16 days in the NICU!

Congratulations Jenn! I'm so glad everything is going so well! Were you on the monitors 24/7? UGH! But thank God you were! When are you going home? I hope Lauren gets to go with you very soon!

Oh Jenn!!!!!! Molly and I were just talking about you on Friday and hoping you were doing well since we had not heard a peep from you! YEAH for Lauren Michele! I hope she is doing great and well enough to be home for Christmas! What a Christmas blessing this is for you!

Good news at last! We went to the cardiologist yesterday for yet another heart echo, and Dani's murmur is better!! Apparently they measure the pressure gradient across the valve with lower numbers being better. If it got to 4, he would want to work on it. Last time it was at 3.7, and this time it was 3.2!! We don't have to see him for 3 more months! I'm not sure what we'll do with out 2-3 doctor's appointments a month! YIPPEE!!

Jenn, I know you are crazy busy, but i just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, Jason and Lauren!

Sorry I haven't checked in. Things are crazy here. My last day is Dec 14 (unofficially). It sucks. The job market sucks. So I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet.

I'll try to keep in touch a little better.
