I just found out that my insurance only covers 3 months of fertility medication---I'm 4/5 thru my 3rd month and because I am on a high dosage, I will run out of Follistim on tomorrow (my doc never wrote it for enough and ironically just had a c-section last Friday and gave me the one vial she had in her office)---insurance adamantly refuses to help even though they know that if I stop on day 12 and don't continue thru day 15 it will all be wasted as my follicles wont mature!
Does anyone out there have a leftover couple of vials they'd like to donate (I'm on a crazy high dose of 600 per day and need 3 more days). I am a nyc public school teacher and am 41 (had 2 miscarriages and really want a child). THANKS.

Tell your doc of your problem. Tell her you need to know where a Reproductive Medicine pharmacy is there in the city. There are three in Houston, so there must be one in NYC.

Then break-out the plastic!

Sorry, most women here don't have insurance coverage either, so if someone did have some extra I don't think they would part with it so easily. Even if your doc did have a c-section, someone should be picking up her slack so you can call and have them call you in a prescription. Most pharmacy's will overnight the meds to you.
