Here is ournew thread!
Here are the last posts! Forgive that the colors don't match!
From Jenn
Kat - How are you holding up? The waiting is complete torture and hell, I know. Thank goodness, they're not making you wait an entire week. I hope and pray that you see promising growth tomorrow. I'm so sorry that you're going through this - it completely sucks!
Karen - Less than one week away!! Eva Lee is a beautiful name!
KC - Only 3 weeks away for you too! How are you doing with the bed rest?
Heather - Did you get your sleep?
Molly - I responded to her. I'm glad to see you around again!!
Dona - Same to you, we miss you!
I'm fine - it's getting stormy outside and Brad is supposed to be flying home from San Francisco tonight, and I'm worried that he isn't going to make it home, great.
From Karen
When did Brad make it home?! The weather was terrible for a while there, I know he had to have had some delays.
KC, glad that you have the docs you like to do the c-section. That always makes you feel a bit better. Have you had a tour of the hospital? If not, you might see if you can swing that and meet someone from the NICU, just in case. Just to put your mind at ease about what's going on where.
Todd's been sick now! He stayed home from work today with a fever and upset stomach. Amelia had a fever tonight...it seems like we can't get well around here!!! I really won't everyone better before next Wednesday.
Do glad to see you pop in Dona!!!
From KC
We toured the hospital a couple of weeks ago, but the OR wasn't included! I hope all your family recovers soon. That's a stress you definitely don't need right now. SIck DHs are never fun!
From Me..
Oh, sick DHs are pathetic!!! I know mine is!
Molly-I responded to her as well, thanks for the heads up, I try to keep an eye on those!
Jennifer-I hope B made it home last night, we didn't have any bad weather here but I think they said we could have but it was a no show. Or we had it and I slept through it!
Karen-I hope your household is healthy (and wealthy ) soon!
KC-That is great that you have the docs you want. Muey Importanto!
Kat-Still thinking +!
Molly-When will you hear on the jobs?
Me-Well, I am in charge here for the next few days until Wednesday. I am the last woman standing as far as managment goes in the complex, so I hope NOTHING happens! But I should be able to get caught up on things and just hang out since I am stuck in the office pretty much all day.
I found out my sister and neice are coming in today for a few days so I will probably shop some thins weekend. I also have a wedding to go to but I am not sure I am going...its this lady at my church and I think its her 3rd or 4th wedding...they asked people to "help out" so I have to make a tray of finger foods. They have people who volunteered for chips and dip, veggie tray, fruit tray, and tortilla rolls so they said I could bring something sweet. I think I will make 2 medium sized brownie pizzas...they are brownies for the crust, then cream cheese frosting, and strawberries on top. At least it is somethingpretty next to the chips and dip
My husband said...they sent a sign up around church to help bring stuff? We should have done that for our wedding...or maybe just assigned things, like last names of A-E bring mixed nuts, F-H bring appetizers...he is so silly! It seems like they are going to a lot of effort for a 3rd or 4th wedding...I would think people would just want to have a small ceremony and maybe an open house or something. Am I wrong in that and its now a stylish thing to do this for 3rd and 4th weddings? I think its all a llittle weird, but I know the lady and she is always very helpful at church so I feel like I should help out. Her invitation says its a "Garden Wedding" in the "Church Gym". I am not sure how you can have a garden wedding inside...much less in a gym..without some MEGA decorations, which I am sure they don't have the funds to do. Plus, we generally call our "gyms" the "cultural hall" since it is used for all sorts of things besides just a gym. Its one of those carpetted gyms, so it can be used for dinners and such. Oh well, I am being tacky....

Kat - I'm thinking about you today - hang in there!
Karen - Bummer on the sick family! I hope everyone is better by next Wed too!
Molly - I forgot to tell you good luck with the job search! I hope you get both offers and have your choice of two dream jobs - how nice would that be!
Heather - Umm, yeah, I couldn't imagine having a big wedding for my 3rd or 4th go round, much less asking my church for help! Have a good time with your sis!
KC - How's it going?
Well, technically Brad did not make it home last night - he walked in the door at 3 AM - ugh!! He might as well have been on the red eye! Now we turn around and head down to Corpus today for the long weekend. I'm looking forward to it!
From Molly
Come on Kat
From KC
Heather- I don't understand that either. I think at that point I would just go to the JP or maybe us, the preacher and a friend. Garden wedding inside, hmmm?
Jen- Have fun in Corpus! I'm glad you have something to occupy you so you aren't stewing all weekend!
Kat- I don't even know what to say. I'm thinking of you.
I'm doing fine. It's hard to only be up for 20 minutes at a time. That basically means I can shower put on moisturizer, then sit to put on lotion. Wait a bit, get up and dry my hair but not style it, sit to put on makeup (not that I'm wearing it around the house). I'm going to try to go to church Sunday, but the getting ready is going to be interesting. I think I'll shower the night before so I can wet and actually do my hair. Doc's appt yesterday went good. I have to go weekly now even though I was on a two week schecdule. She approved our birth plan without any modifications which made me happy. She didn't change my rules any though, and threatened me with duct tape.
from ME
Now that is a visual....pregnant woman duck taped to a bed...forced bed rest!
Kc-maybe this is an ancient idea but can you put rollers in your hair and sleep on them?
From Molly
I got a job offer....and they sweetened the deal a little....
From KC
I probably could if I had rollers or a clue how to use them! I do know how to use hairbands and clips, though!
Congrats, Molly!!!! We need details! Is it on campus? Is it in the same dept? What will you be doing? Less travel?
From Karen
Yes, we need details!!!
KC, UGH! Do be careful though. A lady in our neighborhood had PP and was on bedrest and just gave birth 10 weeks early! The baby is doing well, but I know his mom wasn't following instructions to the t...she was working in the yard a few days and when we yelled at her to get inside and in bed she just said she felt fine.
Glad that Brad made it back. Hope you have a fun weekend...so jealous over here!!
From Molly
Coordinator of Campus Programs for The Associaion of Former Students
so I would be in charge of all association-student organization interactions, all awards ceremonies, aggie ring day, ring dance, the next tradition, muster, fish camp, ring rememberance, t-camp etc etc.... and I would have to spaek on the behalf of the association at all the events that Porter Garner didn't feel like speaking at.
From Kat
As I suspected it was not good again. The "dot" that was there on Wednesday was not visible. So it appears that my body was starting to absorb it or whatever. I took something today to make sure that if there was an ectopic that it would end also. Hopefully I should be getting a pretty heavy period someday soon. I'll be going in for monitoring to make sure that my HCG level goes down appropriately.
Of course I'm upset, but I am also relieved that it is over. No more waiting. Also, even though the final outcome of this wasn't what I wanted (a baby), we did learn that my uterus seems to be a very comfortable place for embies to be, that my body can produce good eggs, and that we can produce good looking embies (without PGD we won't know for sure though). RE says we can try again after I have 1 natural cycle and he thinks we have a good shot based on the above 3 things. The only things we'll change for the next cycle are that I won't do BCPs the month beforehand and he'll up my dosage of follistim and repronex even more.
So yes, this does suck, but at this point, I really think I'm going to be okay.
From Molly
NOw, last time I was posting, you were considering adoption...have you gone through the home studies and what not for that? Are you actively trying both , methods? I'm "glad" they took some tube action as well
I know I got pregnant 3 months after the m/c...so 3 months seems to be a good number.
I am so sorry Kat, I really am....
Let us know if there is anything we can do...
From Jenn
Kat - I'm so so sorry that you have had to go through this. A loss is just heartbreaking, but you are so right about the things you have learned as a result of this cycle - you will get your forever baby, I just know it! I just hate that it had to happen to you - it's just not fair. I'll be thinking about you and Jason. Take care of yourself and try to focus on doing things that make you feel better, whatever that may be.
From me..
I agree with everyone else and am so sad that this happened but I hope that this has given you adn your RE the knowledge to make the next one work for sure.
Molly--What a great opportunity! You will be so great at that!!! I am so happy for you!

Re: Gig 'em 6
Kat, I am so sorry, but glad that the resolutions is relatively quick...although I know this must still be hard.
Molly, cool! I think that would be great and we would get to see your more (in the magazine, etc.)!! Porter wouldn't remember me, but I really liked him when I was at A&M. He was very nice...
Some rain and low grade fevers around here, but I think we are on the mend, but I am looking forward to some long naps from us all today!

Re: Gig 'em 6
Kat- I'm sorry hun. It's great that you got info to help out next time, and that you won't have to wait that long to try again.
Molly- That sounds really cool. You have the perfect personality for that! What is the New Tradition and Ring Rememberance?
Karen- I hope all of you are able to get some good rest and recover this weekend. Is everything ready for the big day?
KarenII- Boy, that is scary! What was she thinking? It is hard to stay down when you are feeling fine though. I was under no restrictions before I bled last weekend and had no warning what-so-ever. That makes it hard for me to understand why she would push it if she was already under restriction. I am behaving, even though I do feel fine. I spend most of my day on the couch being a lump. It's really quite boring. Since Kian is here today, I can't get out anything to work on because the computer has too many buttons and paper and pens are just irresistable!
Heather- Are you having fun with your sis and nieces? How does L get along with the girls?
Everyone in my house is asleep right now... cat, dog, Kian and Todd. I think I will join them!

The Next Tradition is a HUGE graduation party for grads, friends and family and Old Ags with potential job openings!!!
Ring Rememberance is a plaque with the Ring crest and year that is given in a ceremony to families who have lost their Aggie prior to them recieving their ring. (started after Bonfire collapse)
Here is my padre slide show if interested:

Re: Gig 'em 6
Molly--what cute pictures! Does your first little boy look like Jake at all? Are they similar in size? He is such a cutie and I love those curly blonde locks!
Karen-I hope you are all better for Monday!
KC-You stay put...no strenous anything for you!
Us-We have had a fun weekend and tomorrow...we shop! We get along fine with all the cousins. This is actually my older sister and her daughter is 11, but she likes to chase the little ones around.
I need to get to sleep...Landry is asleep so why am I not?
happy M-Day!

Re: Gig 'em 6
Happy Day After M-Day!!!
I hope everyone is doing well and behaving themselves!!!
I have a questions...has anyone used Proactiv? That stuff Jessica Simpson uses on TV? I hate to endorse a Jessica Simpson product because she is a little.....strange is the word I will use...but ever since I had Landry my face is breaking out and dirivng me crazy and it has gotten worse lately so now I am going to try to find something to tame it. Anyone else use it or use something else or had this happen to them?
KC & Laura-Hope you get to see each other!
Molly-Let us know what you decided!
Jenn-When is your next appointment?
Kat-Are you doing anything fun over the summer since schol is out?
Dona-How is work going? How are the twins and their ears? Did the tubes work?
Karen-I bet you are feeling pretty big---how are you holding up?
Us-We had a great weekend with family and friends. We found some old family slides and watched them on Sunday night and just laughed and laughed.
Tofay shoulld be a quiet day at work, hopefully I can get all those things done that I have been putting off!
See ya!

Re: Gig 'em 6
Karen - Tomorrow is the day right? Good luck and I can't to hear all about miss Eva!!
KC - I'm sure the bedrest is boring, but it is well worth it!
Heather - Glad you enjoyed the weekend!
Molly - I forgot to mention - Congrats on the job!! Have you officially accepted it?
Kat - How are holding up? I hope ok.
Me - Well, I'm just an emotional wreck. Today is the big u/s day (my appt is at 11:15) which is both exciting and terrifying, as you can imagine, but the real kicker is that I think it's time to put my sweet kitty Dexter to sleep . He was diagnosed with kidney failure 3 years ago and has done great and beaten the odds really, until recently. He's just gotten worse and worse and is to the point that it is obvious that he is suffering, even with the treatments that we've given him. It is so hard to make that decision, but I know in my heart that it is time and I think it needs to be done before we leave on Friday for our vacation. I just couldn't stand to make him spend his last few days in a cage at the vet. I've had him for 11 years and am just devastated at the thought of losing him. I've been crying all morning - this is when we really came to realization that it is time.

Oh Jenn---I am so sorry about Dexter, I know you are heartbroken! But keep your chin up about your ultrasound and we will all hope and pray that everything checks out a-okay!
On the possitive side...it sounds like your hormones are all over the place which is a great sign on the pregnancy side!

Re: Gig 'em 6
Well...we have a heartbeat!!! We have one perfect little munchkin in there measuring right on at 6w6d with a strong little heartrate of 126!! We couldn't be more thrilled!!! That was the most amazing thing I think I have ever seen! We couldn't hear the hb (they don't have the capability) but we saw it beating away. I have my little picture to take home with me! They also have released me - I've become quite attached to them so that's a little bittersweet. Anyway, that's my update .

Re: Gig 'em 6
Oh, Jenn! That is such a hard decision to make. I agree on not making his last days in a cage. It's better that he's been home and comfy.
Jenn II- Good luck! I can't wait to hear how many little beans there are!
Heather- I hope you are able to get lots done today! Does that mean the interviews are over.
Karen- How you doing today? About to go crazy? I think I will be when my time comes. Good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to see the pics!!
Molly- Jacob is such a cutie! Looks like you had a great time!
My ILs got here last night. I feel bad that they are exhausted from being at my sis's wedding, and they are here cleaning my house, etc. I know it has taken a lot of stress of Todd for the time being though.
Funny story... When Laura flew out of BCS to come here yesterday, she ran into Kris who was returning from sis's wedding! Not that they could have missed each other in that airport, but the timing!

Jenn- I was apparently typing away when you checked in. CONGRATS!!!! That is awesome! I think most places can't hear the heartbeat at that point. But seeing is believing!!! I'm so freaking happy for you!

I'm sorry for 3 in a row, but I forgot some stuff.
Heather- I used proactive on my back when I had problems. It works great! I say go for it.
Do you remember my cousin that lost a 37wk baby earlier this year. She's preggo again! They left it up to God. It happened sooner than they thought it would, but they are thrilled. Funny thing, she's due Jan 16 and they are getting married Jan 18!

Re: Gig 'em 6
What a beautiful pic Jenn! Kian was always around 130 or below. The whole time I was on the monitor last weekend, this baby was 110-120. I hope that means calm babies!!!
I don't think Laura and I are going to get to see each other. She is still about an hour away because she is on the far corner of Durham. She has a little time Thurs morning before she leaves, but it is during rush hour and I would have to meet her up at the airport. That is the busiest part of burgh.
