So I just started another injectable cycle. I went for my CD3 b/w and my E2 level was 65.63. No problems. One doc who I never saw before at the practice, recommended starting at 116. But I had done 8 days of 150 the last cycle that worked. (Follistim, sorry). So I called the following day to question why I would start lower. My normal doc said I should be doing 150.

Ok, so now my question. My E2 levels today on CD6 are 214. Here has been my schedule

CD3 - 116IU
CD4 - 150IU
CD5 - 150IU
CD6 - 100IU (not given yet, but this is what they switched me to)

I've never had them decrease my dose. (and by 50!). How should E2 numbers work? What should they have been? Also they just did b/w today and usually just do that until I get high enough on my E2 (anyone know what that would normally be?), but tomorrow they are doing an u/s and b/w.

I'm sorry for all the questions, but I have only done one other injectable cycle and it was on Bravelle and it took like 3 weeks for me to respond. How long does it take most people to O on injectables?

Estradiol (E2) Day 3 25-75 pg/ml Levels on the lower end tend to be better for stimulating. Abnormally high levels on day 3 may indicate existence of a functional cyst or diminished ovarian reserve.
Estradiol (E2) Day 4-5 of meds 100+ pg/ml or 2x Day 3 There are no charts showing E2 levels during stimulation since there is a wide variation depending on how many follicles are being produced and their size. Most doctors will consider any increase in E2 a positive sign, but others use a formula of either 100 pg/ml after 4 days of stims, or a doubling in E2 from the level taken on cycle day 3.
Estradiol (E2) Surge/hCG day 200 + pg/ml The levels should be 200-600 per mature (18 mm) follicle. These levels are sometimes lower in overweight women.

I think your levels look okay, and don't worry too much about lowering your dose. I would take them adjusting your meds as a good sign that their paying attention to what your body is doing & setting up the perfect o!
As for o on injectibles, it really varies depending on how quick you grow your follies, plus lots of ladies use a trigger shot to help o.
