I am hypothyroid (but on replacement hormone) and just found out that I am pregnant! It's out 12th TTC cycle since our 2nd m/c, and I just think it's a miracle!
My question is, I'm wondering if I should start taking Baby Aspirin (as a precautionary measure). My OB says it won't hurt to take it, but I haven't had a chance to ask my endocrinologist yet. Will it affect my TSH levels? Is it bad to take if you're hypothyroid? Are there any special considerations? Are any of you taking it?
Well, I haven't heard anything about the baby aspirin affecting TSH levels. I take it early in the IUI cycle as a blood thinner and to help the uterine lining during cd2-cd10 (when I was doing injectibles), but the nurse had me discontinue it after the IUI. I am not sure if it has another purpose later after pg also. Definitely a good question for RE or endo dr. to be sure!!
