Default Has anyone had a nuclear scan?

I go for mine tomorrow morning and I'm a bit nervous. I had an MRI yrs ago and it was very difficult for me, I don't like to be cooped up like that. So, I'm wondering if they use an MRI machine or a nice open one. Any idea?

TIA!

I'm not sure if that's what I had done or not. Anyway what they did for me was inject me with radio active iodine and I had to lay on a table for a really long time with this thing around the upper part of my body. I think i could see out the side, but i couldnt move, if i did it would have messed things us and we would have started all over again! I was pregnant at the time so it was VERY uncomfortable.

Yup, that's what I had except they gave me a redioactive pill and I had to wait fout hours and come back. I'm surprised they did it while you were pg, I had to sign a consent that I wasn't pg.

Oh yeah, the tech was upset that my doctor wanted to have it done. They gave me a low dose of it. It was the first major step to see about removing it. They said they didn't believe the baby would make it unless I had it removed. So I guess they looked at it like I was taking a risk either way I went.

That makes sense. I'm so glad your baby was alright!
