Vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay I posted the other day about my reg. DR wanting to put me on Actos instead of Met.
But, they never called it in, so I called to find out what was the problem.....
HE DOES NOT THINK I HAVE PCOS or AM IR.... What the hell????

Because I O every month on my own....it is not totally unheard of. I hate uninformed DRs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I will just have to go find yet another doctor and go thru all the blood work and tests again..just to get back on Met so I can start TTC. I really just want to scream.

He talked to me on the phone today like I was making up my DX and was a "junky" looking for drugs....I could really think of much better DX if I just wanted to pop pills...But I just want another baby

I did not think this was going to be so hard.
I did not know of anyone else to vent to that would understand....

Oh hun!! Hang in there. You should just find a new DR. I have all the symptoms of ovulation but am not doing it and I have always had regular cycles. I think he may be one of those drs who doesn't know much about PCOS so he is trying to avoid the subject start searching for a new one till you find one who is going to listen and discuss ALL of your options.

I'm sorry you are being given such a difficult time. If you got pg before on met then there should be no questions asked about it. And you are right, like met would not be a drug of choice for a junkie. (unless they choose to use it as a laxative

)

Your reg. doctor was a gp? How about your ob/gyn?

That stinks...sometimes doctors aren't much help at all. If you used met before, you should be able to show him your charts and ask to be put back on it. If he won't do it, you need to find another doctor. It's your body.

I totally agree.. Find another Dr.. but make sure to get a copy of all your blood tests and what not so you don't have to go through it again. I have always brought mine with me and it saves a lot of time with a new Dr. Keep looking, there are good ones out there.
