Hi everyone! Sorry haven't been on much been working a lot and spending time with DH. Anyways I have been reading a new book and I was wondering what everyones symptoms were with PCOS? I know that you won't get all the symp. but thought this might help people out since everyone gets different ones, might not make some feel so alone.

I will be honest when I was told I had PCOS I didn't believe the doctors. I am 5'2 and weigh 125lbs. I am a 34 DDD bra size which is where most of my weight is. But after going through all the blood work twice and getting the same results both times I started believing. I am insulin resistant and I make more testosterone than any other hormone. Most of the blood tests came back with very minimal of the other hormones if at all. I have never gotten AF on my since I was 17 and even then I only got it once.

What are your symptoms?

Well my symptoms are excessive weight, abnormal hair growth on face and body, abnormal periods -- to this date this is all i know i have. And my bloodwork came back abnormal.

overweight (190lbs at 5ft 4), excess hair on tummy, irregular cy, irregular ovulations, lots of false positive opks in a cy, high testosterone, high LH, abnormal LH:FSH ratio, high adrogen index, 'string of pearl' cysts on ovaries

Mine right now are just a little facial hair, cysts, and just recently started getting the irregular A, I am only 5'4" and like 105 lbs. I am going in for blood tests on CD 21 and CD 3. So then I will know all the blood work. I was diagnosed with PCOS by laporoscopic surgery and that is all that was ever done. But now I feel I have a better dr and she is going to get all the blood work and tests done. Sorry guess I should've posted that!

overweight, irregular cycle, no ovulations, high testosterone, Reversed LH:FSH ratio, high adrogen, and cysts.

Hi-what a good idea. I have an extrememly high testosterone, 100 (s/b 25-30), all other levels normal range and insulin resistant. Overweight, slight hair on tummy and face, no periods at all....after off B/C irregular prior to that.

I'm new around here, and I think this is a wonderful idea.

My sxs are overweight, excess hair on face, irregular & long cy. My dr. is doing b/w on Monday (cd3) to figure out the LH/FSH, but my last draw was the highest ever LH she's seen. I've read somewhere that skin tags are a sign of PCOS, I have those too.
