Re: PCOS and ovulation
It's very hard to say with PCOS. I have never gotten a true positive when using OPK's. The best way to know if you are ovulating is by getting your progesterone checked. I used to go once a week for the blood test to see when I was going to and did ovulate. If you are charting, this will help you predict when you should ovulate the following month, but you really won't know for the current month because a lot of the time your temperature just drops a little and then rises. By the time your temp rises again (if in fact you are ovulating) it is usually too late. If your doctor has you on metformin, then he/she should monitor you in some way to see if it is working. If you are having normal cycles while on metformin, then to determine when you ovulated just count 14 days back from CD1 and that is your date of ovulation.
