Default PCO and success rates with IVF?

Hi. I have posted here from time to time. I have PCO but have not been diagnosed w/ full blown PCOS. I am finishing my 4th IUI cycle - 13dpiui and tested and got BFN. My next step is IVF and was wondering if anyone knows the success rates w/ IVF and PCO or PCOS. I feel like i will never get preg and am just looking for some good news. Thank you.

In general, the IVF rates are great, with our without PCOS/PCO. It really depends on the clinic. Most clinics do not post what the specific problem was i.e. PCO, Male Factor, etc with their success stats but I would think that the PCO would be controlled when you are medicated for IVF. I have PCO and for my IVF this summer, my doc upped my Glucophage to 2000 mgs a day, but my PCO seems to be controlled with the Gluc.

IVF rates are generally 50% success rate or better, depending on the clinic.

Good luck! That is also a question you might want to ask the RE when you do your IVF consult. They can give you more specifics.

Hi. I have PCOS. I tried to get pregnant for 6 years before getting pg with my dd through the second attempt of IVF. At the time, I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS yet and wasn't taking glucophage. After my dd was born, I was "officially" diagnosed and started glucophage. I got pregnant first try (two different times) with IVF then. My first pregnancy ended in m/c and I am currently 6 months pg with baby #2. I think the glucophage made a big difference in my egg quality which is why I got pregnant right away while on it. Good luck to you!
