My name is Brandy, I’m 24 & my dh & I are TTC baby #2. After unsuccessfully TTC our dd for 8 months I was giving Clomid @ 50mgs & lucky for us our 1st try was a keeper. Well, this time around we’ve not been so successful. We’ve done 2 months of 50mgs & I’ll be starting my 2nd month of 100mgs come Saturday. I’ve got this cycle & next & if no pregnancy takes I will be going thru all the blood work to officially diagnose me w/PCOS. I will also have the option of doing Clomid in conjunction w/Metformin. I see a lot of ppl mentioning losing weight on it – so that might also be a nice plus. It looks like I’ll be able to get a lot of helpful info here & from all of you. Any & all general advice/info welcomed. Good luck to us all

Welcome!! I've been on Glucophage/Metformin for the past 6 months. I haven't noticed a huge weight loss - but I haven't been trying and I know I haven't gained any weight I have heard that some women are able to lose a lot of weight with it's help.

We (as a board) have seen a lot of success with the combo of Glucophage and Clomid - hopefully it will work with you!

Suggestion - use the XR version of the drug - easier on the tummy. And don't jump up to the top dose - space it out. Also easier on the tummy.
