New here w/ ?

Hi everyone...

I've been posting on other boards around here for a few months now and I've just started wondering about PCOS. I stopped bc in Feb. had the normal withdrawl bleeding and nothing since. My doctor gave me Prometrium about 7 days ago (I have 3 days left) and all I've gotten are some cramps and spotting. I have ovary type pain on and off all the time. I've gained 8-10lbs since I stopped bc, that is very very abnormal for me, I never gain weight like that. I was alway very regular before using bc this time, so I don't know what to think. I have been using a saliva ovulation monitor thingy and it was positive since March 12th... Does this sound like PCOS is a possiblity?

Hi, I am not sure. I know with OPK they don't always work for girls with PCOS. If you think it is a possibility talk to your DR and they can run some hormone tests as well as do an ultrasound to see if they see anything. Good Luck! Welcome to the group!
