Default New here with a question

I have not been diagnosed with PCOS but have been with Insulin Resistance and yesterday I was given my medicine of Glucophage (Metformin). I noticed some of you ladies have been taking it for a while. Did you find that it did in fact help you to get pregnant quicker? I have not really had any problems with ovulation and I know it says this medicine can prmote ovulation so I am wondering if it would cause more than one egg to release?
The doctor has started me out with the lowest dosage of 1000 mg a day. I go back in 2-3 weeks to see how things are coming along.
Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it helps us get pregnant quicker, but many of us have found that it helps prevent m/c and with some help, also helps us ovulate. Since it doesn't seem to be your problem (ovulation), perhaps it will help with the high insulin level.

Good luck!!!

Thanks Toni. You said it helped with m/c. I had a m/c last year and wondered how it helps in that aspect of the medicine. Is it possible that a m/c could have been in response to my insulin problems?
