Default New here

I would like to say hello to all of you. This is my first time here although I was diagnosed with PCOS 11 years ago. I was curious to see if anyone has had symptoms go away and then reappear years later? I grew up having my cycle once or twice a year until I was 21. I had it 3 months in a row and then got pg with our son. Somehow things went normal after that and I had no trouble conceiving our daughter 3 years later. Now that we're trying for #3 it has vanished. I had it every month through January but now I'm on day 44 and nothing. I've gone through 4 boxes of Clear Blue O tests and no sign of o. I went to my dr last week and she said my recent weight gain, sudden onset of acne and prolonged cycle are all tied together. She prescribed Clomid 50mg. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Welcome to the board!
I usually just lurk here these days since becoming pregnant last fall. I just wanted to say that I have never had my symptoms go away and come back. I have had PCOS since I was 17 and only cycled about once per year. Even after having my daughter I had the same problem. Do you take Metformin or Glucophage to help with your PCOS?
That combined with the Clomid helps alot of women (just not me). I had to do IVF for both of my pregnancies.

I wish you luck. You were very fortunate to conceive two children on your own with PCOS. I think alot of women around here wish they were in your shoes. I really hope that the Clomid helps you and you will be expecting #3 soon!

So far I haven't needed to take anything. After conceiving my son I thought that maybe my dr misdiagnosed me with PCOS since my cycles regulated on their own, (although I have always had more than enough body hair and struggled with my weight.) I guess I'll just wait and see what happens. Thanks for all of your kind words!

Summer! I can't say that I have had that happen, nor have I heard of it happening to any of the other ladies here....but I wanted to welcome you to the board and wish you luck on TTC.
