Laura and others,
I'm right there with ya. DH and I have been TTC baby #1 for about 2 years now although I've been off BC since 2001. We saw a specialist for the first time 2 weeks ago. Everything looks great for DH (just call him the 98 million sperm man

). Not so great for me. I had my day 3 endocrine profile done and my testosterone levels are elevated. The next day, I went in for a preantral follicle count/sonogram and I had a BUNCH of follicles on my ovaries with very enlarged ovary mass (6-8 is normal, mine were 18). So now I'm on BC to get my levels normal as well as glucophage (metformin?) to reduce ovary mass. I'm disappointed that I have to be on BC for the next 3 months--seems counter productive (I WANT to get pregnant, not prevent it!). I guess the next step after this will be clomid. The good thing about having PCOS is my insurance company will cover most of my diagnostic testing, just not the IUI or IVF, if necessary.
Any advice is appreciated!
Kristie
