Understanding that everyone is different, and what worked for me may not work for everyone...just wanted to share something that has finally worked to get me on track.
I was diagnosed with PCOS about three years ago, with cycles ranging from as high as 60 days to as low as 45 days. And of course, for most of those cycles, I didn't even O.
BUT... I am happy to report this cycle will be a 31 day cycle, with a sure O on CD19!
Now, I am not sure exactly what in this combination of things did the trick, or if you need all these things, but I am going to tell you everything I did just in case you should do them all.
1) When my last period was going super long (45 days, I asked my doc to prescribe provera, which I took until I got my period three days later.
2) On the last day of my period, when it was just light spotting, I began doing the following DAILY: a) one spiru-tein protein shake every morning, b) 10 sit ups each night, c) 2 capsules of Vitex/Chasteberry each night, d) 1 capsule of folic acid each night, and e) 1-2 cups of raspberry leaf tea from traditional medicinals each night, depending on how thirsty I was.
3) When I O'd, I stopped taking the raspberry tea and Vitex, just in case.
Don't know if I'm pregnant b/c hubby wasn't much in the BD mood this month, but I am still ecstatic about the O and the 31 day cycle.
Good luck ladies and baby dust to all!
