Anyone have any experience with Metformin vs Metformin ER. I took Metformin for years and had horrible GI symptoms. However I just started on Metformin ER and haven't had any GI symptoms yet. Just curious when to expect that to start.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I had only GI problems at the beginning of taking Metformin. When I took Metformin ER, I had the GI problems the whole time. I think everyone just reacts different and the foods we eat also play a role. Glad to hear you are not suffering.

Hmm.. That is very interesting to know. I have to say I'm starting to feel a little bloated now on the ER, but like you I had most my issues with regular Met in the beginning before I realized I couldn't eat many carbs..

I took both and didn't have any issues with either so I'm no help
