Hello! Thought I would join you guys. Here's my history....I am 27 yrs old...5'5" and 112lbs...have always had irregular cyles...started taking bc at 17 to regulate them. Got married in July 2004 and stop taking the pill. Realized in Sept that something was wrong because didn't get my period and preg test neg. Dr. gave me provera and cycle came but was still irregular next mo. Since then have had HSG (tubes fine), thyroid fine, not diabetic, dh hasn't been "checked" yet...is going next week. Had bloodwork on Friday, April 21st and results confirmed PCOS...male hormone was way too high. I also have male patterned hair growth. Don't have a weight problem but tend to carry any excess weight as a "pooch" in my midsection. Started charting my BBT this month and it appears that I MAY have ovulated on Day 19 (currently on Day 22). Next step is to take provera (if don't get pos preg test) and go see my dr. along with my husband's results. She wants to discuss clomid with us and have me start taking it on day 3 of my cycle. Not sure if she is going to give me metformin or not...my insulin was only slightly elevated. She would like to do 3 to 4 mos of clomid before turning me over to a fertility specialist just do to insurance issues.

Well...that's my story. This board doesn't look too active but hopefully more people will start posting.

I hope you can get support here.. Im completely different i did have normal cycles - everything was fine - went on the pill still had a period every month - then went on depo and it totally messed my body up and about a yr or so coming off of it i was diagnosed with PCOS.

So far I've learned a good bit from the boards. That's terrible about depo messing you up! Hopefully things will go good for you two and you won't have to try too long
