How do you pronounce PCOS

Hello,

I don't post here too often but do have PCO tendencies and was talking to someone whose daugther has PCOS and she referred to it as P-COS prounounced PEE-KOS.

I have always called it P-C-O-S....adn was just wondering if anyone else called it PEE-KOS?

PCOS is a acronym for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Well, obviously I have PCOS so I know what it stands for!

I just had never heard anyone refer to it as "peekos" so I wondered if anyone else had heard that!

What a weird person to call it PeeKos

It's just the letters, P C O S it's not actually pronouced as a word, just letters.

I know, the whole time she was talking to me and calling it "peekos" I was thinking...are we talking about the same thing? And then I realized that the only time I talk to people about it is usually with my doctor, who calls it by its full name or online, which you can't tell if people make it an acronym because its typed. Then I started thinking, maybe I am the only one who spells it out!

Now I know I am not the only one!
