I don't have a problem with loss it is more of having excessive hair growth. I think if your thyroid is off you can lose hair. I will try to check into it, hopefully somebody else will know something.

I do have hypothyroidisim but my levels are all fine.

I've been on meds for it for almost a year now and the thinning has just continued.

Hair thinning is a result of PCOS as well as the excess hair growth (too bad the excess hair growth didn't happen on the top of the head and the hair loss on the legs LOL)

I have the same problem. I'm allergic to Rogain. Propecia (not usually prescribed for women) made me angry. Spironalactone helped briefly, then quit. Lexapro didn't help. Herbal meds didn't help.

Hopefully, if I get on Metformin, the hairloss should slow.

If you hear anything, please do let me know too!

Progesterone Cream (Bioidentical). I had the same issue and I was nearly bald. Dr's started me on RX progesterone cream (Not the stuff you can buy over the counter) and with in 1 month I had little hairs starting to grow back. It took about 6 months to actually get decent hair, but now It's all back and I am good. I use the cream days 14 - 28 every cycle and will never stop again!!!

Where do you apply progesterone cream, on your head? I've never used it...
