Please don't get frustrated. I know it is hard but be patient. 3lbs in a week is great. I hate exercising too but just think about the great good. Once you have a baby you will be in better shape and healthier to be there for the baby. I am on Clomid and I am getting ready to start my third round and this round will be at 150mg. So as you can see just because you are on meds doesn't make it easier. I would tell your doctor how you are feeling, but remember it will happen when it is supposed to happen that is why it is such a miracle.

Just lurking (I have PCOS and IR) and wanted to ask if you've ever been tested for insulin resistance? Sometimes hormonal problems can make it really difficult to lose weight. Was your doc willing to work with you even if you couldn't lose the weight? Sometimes docs are unwilling to help overweight people to conceive, even though their weight may be a side effect of what is really wrong. IR can make it super difficult to lose weight and I've heard of lots of people who are IR and get put on glucophage/metformin and end up losing some weight or at least were able to maintain their current weight without gaining. I want to congratulate you on the 3lb. loss though...that is an impressive loss for one week, even though it probably doesn't seem like it at this point! Keep up the good work and if your doc hasn't checked for insulin resistance I'd ask him/her to do so. Good luck.

Karen

thanks karen but i'm not really overweight at all, i'm 5'5'' and 140pounds so average i would say. i'm so confused as to what to do. i had 3 af visits since last may before i found out i had pcos. my last af was jan 31st and then i lost 4 pounds and she arrived just 6 days late! i don't know if that was due to the weight loss or she was gona come anyway, however i don't think i o'd becasue i didn't notice any cm change and had no cramping, which i usually get.so could i now be getting regular cycles and not ovulating?

Hello...
If you aren't ovulating what you are getting is just break through bleeding...not an actual period. Have you ever tried charting your temp to find out if you do ovulate on these unusual cycles? By no means do I think charting is for everyone, but it might help you to understand your cycles better. I charted and it helped me to understand that I wasn't ovulating hence no period, and the cycle I got PG it helped me to know that I was going to ovulate so we could time DTD better. Good luck!

Karen
