Hi ladies, My name is Yvette, and I will be the big 4-0 this yr. I have 3 children, and put off having my last til now. I figured since it was simple the previous 3x's, it would be the same the 4th. Well life pulled a fast one on me. I was diagnosed with pcos last yr and it's been hell. I have been on metformin for the past yr. I was also on clomid for some cycles with no luck. My periods were MIA but since being on metformin they have been more or less regular. I know I should probably give up my ttc quest, (I am up there in age, and do have 3 wonderful children) but when that baby bug strikes, ladies I think you all know what I mean. I have been told it's time to give up the dream, including DH is getting discouraged. It has been close to 2 yrs ttc. I need encouragement, and/or words of wisdom ladies. What do you all think? should I just give up? Thanks in advance.

I say if you want it do not give up. We have women on this board who are you age and on just conceived. I have yet to hold a baby in my arms of my own and I will not stop until that time get here. Keep your head up and come here for support when you need it. We are here for you. to the board.

Smart thanks for your kind words. I will be praying for all the ladies on this board, specially for those whom have never had a baby. I will gladly give up my wish if any and every one of you could have the baby you so desire. I am sorry I was whining about my difficulties ttc this time around, when some of you have yet to hold a little one in your arms. Please forgive me. And again Know that I will be praying that God sends each one of you a baby.

Hang in there! People don't really understand how we feel. The time will come it might just take more then last! Welcome to the board! The boards here are VERY supportive!

Want 4th,

I did not take it in a bad way. I too want you to have the 4th baby you so want. I tell you when you want a baby you really want a baby. What type of treatment are you getting from your doc? Are you on metformin? Do you see and RE?
