I am so glad this forum is here! In just the few short hours that I've been on this site, I've learned a lot about PCOS and am comforted knowing that I am not alone in this (although I wish none of us were going through this).
We've been TTC #1 for about 2 years now, but I haven't been on BC since Fall 2001. Finally decided to see a specialist--DH was in the clear (98 million sperm, he was so proud

). Not so good for me. When I FINALLY met AF on Day 38, I called the doc. Had my Day 3 endocrine profile done and then the next day went in for a preantral follicle count/sonogram. The tech found a ton of follicles on my very enlarged ovaries (size 6-8 is normal, I am at 18). Endocrine profile found elevated testosterone level (65). Now I'm on BC for 3 months to try to bring down my testosterone and metformin to decrease ovary size. I'm pretty frustrated to be on BC, but I guess it's better than TTC and not knowing why it isn't working! I am not overweight, but could spare a few pounds. Will this help? Also, any other advice you have for a newbie (both to the board and to PCOS)?
Thanks!
Kristie
