Hi! I usually post on the iui board, but I have pcos tendencies (whatever that means.) I was wondering is it true that if you have pcos and you poas (opks that is) it can sometimes turn out + every time you test that month? I saw ferning on the scope and had like 3 + opks but my temps indicate an annovulatory cycle. I am not on meds this month. So I didn't expect any miracles, I was just wondering. I thought once a dr. told me that my messed hormones due to pcos will cause false positive opks. If someone can help answer my question I would really appreciate it.

I have heard the same thing but my dr. never told me that I have PCOS. I have used opk and had negative and false results I actually think they are pretty reliable! Do you check anyhting else with them like your temperature or cervical mucous?

i think that sounds a little confusing! I DO have PCOS-but my dr never told me opks could give false positives! Sorry for the confusion!

They can!!! My OPK's ALWAYS look positive.......... or at least 90% of the time. They don't work for me, and I would figure it is because of my PCOS.
