Re: December's Recipe Contest
White Chocolate Cherry Bread
* 1/2 c + 1 Tbl. warm milk
* 3 tbsp butter, melted
* 1 egg
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/4 c. sugar
* 2 1/4 c. bread flour
* 1 1/2 tsp yeast
* 1 can pie cherries, well drained
* 3/4 c. white chocolate chips
1. Add milk, butter, egg, salt, sugar, salt, flour, and yeast to bread machine. Use dough setting and push start.
2. When bread dough is finished, roll dough into a rectangle (apprx. 9"x13"), about 1/2" thick. Sprinkle cherries and white chocolate chips onto dough, leaving a little bit of space on each edge. Fold the short edges in so that filling will be sealed up in dough.
3. Carefully roll the dough up, like you would you were making cinnamon rolls. Press edges into dough so that it stays sealed shut. Place on greased cookie sheet, sealed edge down. Cut 3 slices across roll for venting. Let rise for about 30 minutes.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25-35 minutes, or until bread is a nice golden brown.

Re: December's Recipe Contest
Grandma Ruth's Orange Jello Salad]
Ingredients:
1 6oz box of orange jello
water
2 small can of mandarin oranges or 1 large can
orange sherbert
drain can(s) of mandarin oranges into measuring cup and add water to juice to make 2 cups. Pour into saucepan and put on medium high heat. Reserve oranges. When water/juice is hot, pour in jello and dissolve. Pour into bowl and add 2 cups orange sherbet. Stir to melt sherbet. Pour in mandarin oranges. Put in fridge to set.
That's it. It was a treat for the kids on holidays and sometimes the only thing the babies would eat. It's a holiday tradtion at our house and served on Thanksgiving and Christmas only.

Cook Pasta to directions. Drain, set aside. Slice and brown smoked sausage. Cook broccoli florets according to directions (I use the microwave). Set aside. Re: December's Recipe Contest
Forgot to add that you might need to add a dash of milk to the pot. I never measure. Just whatever works...
