Welcome to the Blinkie board!

It’s a great place here, and the girls work so hard. We love making fun and special, little blinkies, but as you can understand we give up our free time to be here and fill requests. In order to make things easier for the makers and to ensure you get the blinkie you really want and love, then you need to keep a few things in mind. We don't have many guidelines, just a handful so we can keep everything running smoothly.

THE BLINKIE BOARD POSTING GUIDELINES

REQUESTS

1. New posters at SheKnows - we would like you all to enjoy a nice new signature when you start posting here at SK. However, we are aware that some newcomers are taking advantage of the blinkie maker’s talents and taking the customized designs away to other message boards. Although using the artwork elsewhere is not a problem, posting here just once to claim a graphic then not joining our lovely SK community is unfair. To be fair to all newcomers we happily make one graphic per month until a post count of 50 is reached, your design may also be watermarked, and however this watermark can be removed at a later date by request.

2. Please be specific - If you want a particular color, size or wording then request it up front. If you don't request these up front then our talented makers will make you something wonderful that they think you might like.

3. Please be patient - Allow up to 48 hours for your request to be snagged as sometimes even the addicted to SK blinkie makers take time off. Again, once your maker has agreed to do your blinkie then you need to allow 24 - 48 hours for it to be completed. Although some designs do not take too long, some may take an hour or two to construct. Sometimes there are other requests in the making or the maker might need to find a special font or graphic and this also takes time.

4. Minimum post count - From now on you need to have a post count of 30 in order to request a graphic, blinkie, or siggy. This is simply in place to discourage people coming here, using our talents, then taking the designs away for use on another forum. You wouldn’t believe how often this occurs!


Additionally, the maker will have discretion with regard to whether or not a blinkie request is a legitimate one, and whether or not she feels there may be a problem. It will then be passed along to the ACD (Sissy_Mommy - Kristina) or the CD (crisantemo - Amanda).


VOLUNTEERS - This includes hosts and helpers

1. Introduce yourself - You are all very welcome! New makers too, so it would be great if you could post an introduction on our board so we know who you are.

2. We don't do FFA (free for all) here like other forums - We ask our makers to 'snag' a request so everyone else knows you are working on it. This way the maker does not waste perhaps an hour or two of precious time for someone else to jump in on the post.

3. Please take turns - The blinkie makers take turns here so that everyone gets to show off their talents.
