Default ~November Newsletter~

We have a lot to be thankful for this month. We have a new President-Elect Obama .
We also have our American holiday of Thanksgiving this month. I hope that everyone of us can find something to be thankful for this year. I know it's tough for some of us to do that but I think that if we think really hard, we can think of something that has blessed us in some way. For me, it's my husband and my two daughters. My life is falling down around my ears but I have those three to hold on to.
Those are my blessings and what I am thankful for. I hope some of you can find something too.

We have had some wonderful blessings come to SheKnows this month.
Kim (kimbaby), the CD at TTC Clubs has given birth to Kaelin Kohl Congratulations Kim and Welcome Kaelin Kohl!
We also have another surprise closer to home. Tiffany (glittergirl80), host of Graphics and Glitter Names, had a beautiful girl named Shelby Love. . Congratulations Tiff and Welcome Shelby to our little family.

With the coming holidays, we hope that you will stop on by for some new graphics to spruce up your signature. We are always ready to help you with anything you need. It will be great fun this time of year to make everything sparkle.
We here at Graphic Central wish you all a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving

Pumpkin Mousse in Cinnamon Pastry Shells

A light and airy mousse that combines pumpkin and vanilla pudding is served in delicate pastry shells that have been dusted with a light cinammon sugar coating. An elegant way to end a meal.

Estimated Times:
Preparation - 10 min | Cooking - 20 min | Yields - 12 servings

Ingredients:

* 2 boxes (10 oz. each) frozen puff pastry shells
* 3 tablespoons melted butter
* Cinnamon sugar *
* 1 can (30 oz.) LIBBY'SŪ Easy Pumpkin Pie Mix
* 1 box (3.4 oz.) vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix
* 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
* 1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 400° F.

PLACE pastry shells on baking sheet. Brush tops with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Bake according to package directions. Cool to room temperature. Remove tops and reserve for garnish. Remove soft pastry inside shells and discard.

BEAT pumpkin pie mix, pudding mix and cinnamon in large mixer bowl on medium speed for 2 minutes. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spoon about 1/3 cup pumpkin mousse into each pastry shell. Top with pastry tops. Serve immediately.

* For cinnamon sugar: Combine 1 tablespoon granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon in small bowl.

Tiny Toms

This is one turkey that won't get eaten this Thanksgiving. Your kids can make a flock to decorate the dinner table -- or for all the kid guests to take home as favors.

CRAFT MATERIALS:
Yellow and red felt
Tacky glue
Googly eyes
Brown pom-poms
Pinecones
Pipe cleaners

Time needed: Under 1 Hour
1. For each turkey, cut out a yellow beak and a red wattle from felt. Then glue the beak, wattle, and a pair of googly eyes onto a pom-pom to create the turkey's head.

2. Glue the pom-pom head to the tip of a pinecone. Allow the glue to dry.

3. Wrap a pipe cleaner around the middle of the turkey's cone body, starting from the top and twisting it together a few times on the underside. Separate the ends of the pipe cleaner (below the twists) and bend each tip into a 3-toed foot.

4. For the turkey's tail, individually wrap 3 or 4 pipe cleaners around the back of the pinecone, starting from the underside and twisting them together a few times on the top of the pinecone to secure them. Then loop both ends of each pipe cleaner to shape tail feathers.

The Lady Elizabeth by Alison Weir. She has written about nine books in this genre of old England and it's kings and queens. That's something that has always intrigued me and I have read a lot of books but none by this author. I will have to check her out.

We thought maybe you might have a question about something that goes on here at Graphic Central. We have lots of forums here...Photography, Signature Fun-which includes, Blinkies, Glitter Names and Custom Signatures and Graphics. The hosts have added tutorials in each category if you would like to learn any of these graphics arts. Please read through the tutorials and have a go at it. And please show us what you make. We'd love to see. We are also very open to having volunteers and/or Hosts in our requests forums. Please inquire within about becoming a volunteer if you know how to make blinkies, glitters, siggies or graphics of any kind. If you have any other questions, something you would like to know about any of these fields, please let us know and we will give you the answer in the following newsletter next month. Just leave us a post.
