April is here, that means spring is well under way for most of us! This is the time of year when we are all thinking about tidying up in the garden and making the place look a little bit neater. We have been planting herbs, potatoes and other veggie type things. For those who don’t have a garden why don’t you get yourself some pots for your windows and get into the gardening mood too.
CONGRATULATIONS to Heather Lynne who has just had her baby Emmett. He is quite a few weeks early but arrived safely from what I have heard. Emmett weighs in at 4lbs 10 ounces!

Pamela has been made a host on the Graphics forum.
Remember that we are always here to fulfil your siggy, blinky or glitter needs anytime. Maybe you would like something for Easter?

Our Get-To-Know-You question this month is: Have you ever been caught out with an April Fool’s prank? Have you ever played a prank? Please share. Please, all hosts answer this question in the Community Leaders board and leave your P&P email address so you get your points. Thank you.

Each month we try to enclose a hint or tutorial written by one of our hosts. This month’s tutorial is written by Pamela
Using A Pattern Or Picture To Fill In Text
1. Open a new canvas, by clicking file, new , & then adjust canvas size & color.
2. Add text, remember that when filling in the wider font is usually better.
3. Add the same font again to a separate layer (make sure it's under the first text layer.) Make sure the top color palette is white & your stroke is set to your liking. Mine is at 10.
4. Convert your second text layer. I like to add a little shadow to mine. (Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow) Then line up your text so you can see the white outline.
5. Now open up the image or style you want to use to fill in the first text.
6. Go to your Materials palette click on the top color, then click patterns.

Here you should see the image you selected for your text fill. Click on it, & then select your scale I'm using 45. Then click Ok.
7. Now click on your paint tool in the tools toolbar. Then click on each letter with the paint tool to fill it in.
8. Then just crop & save!

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
A cupcake
White icing
Shredded coconut
Pink decorators' sugar
Jelly bean nose
Chewable Sweet Tart eyes
Large marshmallow
Mini marshmallows
1. Frost a cupcake with white icing and sprinkle on shredded coconut fur.
2. Cut a large marshmallow in half widthwise. Squeeze each half slightly to give it an oval shape, then decorate the sticky side of each one with pink decorators' sugar and set them in place for ears.
3. Add a jelly bean nose and either jelly bean or snipped Sweet Tart eyes, and mini marshmallows for cheeks. For a finishing touch, draw on decorators' gel pupils or whiskers if you like

EMBOSSED EGGS!
THIS IS FOR ADULT SUPERVISION ONLY! The embossed eggs are great, you will guarantee no one else has eggs like these.
What You Need
embossing inkpad and embossing powder,
a rubber stamp with bold lines in the design,
embossing heat tool.
Either hard boil or blow out the egg. Ink the stamp with your embossing ink then sprinkle the embossing powder on it.
Use your heat tool to heat powder on egg until the ink becomes raised from the surface and sets.
You can use the same technique to write names on eggs or create a free-form design using an embossing pen instead of the inkpad and stamp.
