Oooo, this is going to be a scorching hot month. At least it is starting to be down here in the desert southwest. We're starting with temps in the 118's already. But it's back to school for some kids. Woohoo! And soon-to-be for others.

I would just like to take this opportunity to once again thank our volunteers and hosts for helping out while the whole summer vacation thing was going on. It's been a strange Summer with all the transition and people gone and not know who was doing what. Even I was doing siggies at some point.

First of all I would like to that our resident volunteer who bales my behind out at the drop of a hat,
Tonya (Haze). Thank you so much Tonya for responding to my cry of help when I need you.

It was nice to see you daily with your beautiful
Randie girl. Next I would like to thank
Sarah (MommaSarah) our official siggymaker who we missed dearly when she was on vacation celebrating the birthday of her eldest daughter. Sarah is the backbone of our siggy department and the sweetest person ever.
Tami (Tami~w) is finally back from her vacation and with us more and more although she has tons of work and a large family that needs her attention more than us and we know that family is first around here.

But we love her and her work so we will take whatever small time she can find and love it. Our photography hosts keep things moving quickly and smoothly on that board. It's a busy place and they keep it hopping and drama free. Not an easy task. They are the best.

As you can see, it was a busy summer and hopefully we will settle down and get back to business at hand. Here's to making it through the last month of Summer everyone.
*Our get-to-know-you question for everyone to answer--and for all hosts to answer in the Leader board--is....
Do you like watermelon and do you spit the seeds out? Please post your answer in the Leaders board and remember to leave your

Our recipes this month come from Cooking Smart's Featured Forum--Desserts. We decided to cool off with some easy recipes for Sorbets. Click
HERE
to find more recipes to cool off with this last month of Summer.
Strawberry Sorbet
Ingredients:
equal parts sugar and water (simple syrup)
2 cups strawberries
1/4 cup lemon juice
Preparation:
Cook down sugar and water until it reaches a maple-syrup consistency and is easy to stir. In a separate pot, heat strawberries and lemon juice until partially cooked (don't bring to a boil). Pour strawberries into a food processor and blend well. Remove berries from processor and pour through a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
Pour berries and one-half cup of the simple syrup in an ice-cream maker and run for 15 to 20 minutes.
Chocolate Sorbet
Ingredients:
7 oz. bittersweet chocolate
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Preparation:
Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Again, boil down the sugar and water to a smooth consistency. In a glass bowl, combine melted chocolate and simple syrup. If the mixture is too thin, it can be returned to the stove and heated down.
Freezer method: If you don't have an ice-cream maker available, simply wrap the bowl with the mixture in place in the freezer overnight. Blend in a food processor the next day, return to the freezer for an hour and then remove--the sorbet is done.
Both recipes are compliments of our own Krystal (LittleMsMom), CD of TTT
We thought maybe you might have a question about something that goes on here at Graphic Central. We have lots of forums here...
Photography, Signature Fun-which includes, Blinkies, Glitter Names and Custom Signatures and Graphics. The hosts have added tutorials in each category if you would like to learn any of these graphics arts. Please read through the tutorials and have a go at it. And please show us what you make.

We'd love to see. We are also very open to having volunteers and/or Hosts in our requests forums. Please inquire within about becoming a volunteer if you know how to make blinkies, glitters, siggies or graphics of any kind.
If you have any other questions, something you would like to know about any of these fields, please let us know and we will give you the answer in the following newsletter next month. Just leave us a post below.
