New here, and I need some advise.

My son had an ear infection 2 weeks ago and the amoxicilin didn't work. Now he has it in both ears. The Dr prescribed Omnicef, which was a $50 copay! Well, Saturday after my son took the Omnicef for the 2nd day, he broke out into this horrible rash all over his body. I was freaking out! It looked awful and painful. Apparently this didn't bother Henry as much as it did us. At first I thought he had that roseola because he had a fever a couple days ago. But it wasn't consistant. So the Dr said it was an allergic reaction to this antibiotic. My husband and I aren't allergic to anything, and didn't think our son was eithier. My friend told me that her daughter had a rash too from taking it. Has anyone else used this antibiotic?
