Icon5 What kind of Crock-Pot do you use?

I currently use a West Bend Crockery 6-quart stainless steel cooker. I actually am not too thrilled with it since it seems to cook REALLY hot. I can have it on KEEP WARM setting and it seems to fry everything!

I used to have a Rival (I think) that we got as a wedding gift, and it was the best. It had the removable crock (as I think most do nowadays) but I put it on the stove and it burst! I really miss that one. Then I had one that dh's mom gave us for Xmas one year, and I didn't like that it only had 4, 6, 8, and 10 hour settings, with the 4-6 being high, and 8-10 being low. I wanted one that was just low and high, and you could decide how long, kwim?

Aah, I know, I am being too picky, but when you want to cook a lot in a slow cooker, you gotta be choosy!!

Anyone else?

Choosy is A-OK

I use the one I registered for our wedding, it's stainles steel and black, and the brand is Rival. It is also the one where the stone comes out for easy washing. It has a high/low setting, and so far I looove it!

I wouldn't mind a bigger one, but the size I have does just fine

I have a Betty Crocker one. It cooks everything fine. Has the high/low setting and removable crock. We like it.

I have an old fashioned one that just has a high/low cooking knob and I also have a super duper deluxe one with a built in LCD screen that is preprogrammed with 100's of recipes and you can program the time and the temp to cook it at. It ROCKS!

We have a Hamilton Beach that we got as a wedding gift...it has hi, low, and an autoshift setting. It works just fine, but I'm thinking on getting a new one just to have a 2nd one...I have some breakfast, and dessert recipes that I never try because I have other food in it so much!

We used to have one that was a wedding gift...not sure what brand it was but it broke quite a while ago.

We just got a new one the other day. Its a Rival CrockPot called Versaware. Looks pretty neat, its a 6 quart stoneware one, that you can take from the stovetop to the crock to the oven.....even to the fridge or freezer for storage of leftovers without cracking (yes after the last one cracked I definitely want to be sure this one wouldn't)

It has a detachable cord also which allows it to go right on the table also

Hopefully it works as good as it looks, I can't wait to try it out
