Icon5 Question about crockpot settings

My crockpot has settings 1-6. It says never to cook meat below the setting
3 1/2...so, is 3 1/2 considered the low setting and 6 the high?

After doing some research, I would have to guess that exact same thing.

How old is your crockpot? Many and most have the low/high or low/med/high setting now, and low is usually 200 degrees, where high is 300 degrees.

Maybe you can test it by maybe cooking something real easy so you can keep an eye on it, or just put water in it and test the water temp.

Whadya think?

Ha ~ Leslie, my crockpot is about 7 years old. Is that old? I like the idea of the water/temperature thing. I will try that. Thanks so much for answering. I've always wondered about the settings
